Coral Canyon in St. George, Utah, is a stunning destination that offers a mix of natural beauty and excellent amenities, making it a fantastic place for a getaway. I recently had the pleasure of visiting, and it exceeded my expectations in many ways. The first thing that struck me was the breathtaking scenery. The area is surrounded by beautiful red rock formations and lush green fairways, creating a picturesque backdrop that is hard to beat. Whether you're an avid golfer or simply enjoy being outdoors, the views alone are worth the visit. Speaking of golf, Coral Canyon Golf Course is a standout feature of the community. The course is well-maintained, challenging, and offers a variety of holes that cater to different skill levels. The staff at the golf course were friendly and helpful, making the experience even more enjoyable. Beyond golf, Coral Canyon has a range of amenities, including hiking and biking trails, a swimming pool, and a fitness center. These facilities are well-kept and provide plenty of options for staying active and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. The community itself is charming, with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The homes and accommodations are modern and comfortable, making it a great place to unwind after a day of activities. Overall, Coral Canyon is a gem in St. George. Whether you’re looking for a golfing adventure, a peaceful retreat, or a bit of both, it’s an excellent choice. I highly recommend visiting and experiencing all that this beautiful area has to offer.

Do a guys golf trip every year and we haven’t been back to Coral Canyon until now (Oct ‘23). Definitely a downhill experience from our last. Expected a lot more for what you pay. The scorecards were just printed on low grade copy paper folded in half. The rangefinder/aerial view screens on the carts have been downgraded from 10 inch touchscreens to small 3 inch gps units that are hard to see/read. The club washers on the carts are falling apart and missing most of the interior brushes, so the clubs don’t really get cleaned. There is only one bathroom on the front 9 and one on the back. We never once saw a marshal, no one regulating pace or enforcing restricted cart areas or loud obnoxious groups. The biggest problem of the day was that the tee times were too stacked together. Many times there were three groups on a hole (tee box, fairway, green). Most of our day was waiting for the group ahead of us. As far as the course condition: it’s in okay shape; again, could be better for what you’re paying. Hope they can go back to how things were.

The course was fun to play, but not worth the cost. I’d rather play Sky Mountain or somewhere less expensive that is managed better. It took us 6 hours to play 18 holes because they scheduled a tournament and didn’t notify us when we booked online 45 days ago. We showed up to a packed clubhouse and practice range so we couldn’t warm up. They claimed it wouldn’t affect our play because they spaced it out, but we were waiting with the group ahead of us on every tee box. Gene in the clubhouse was extremely unprofessional and unhelpful. The course Marshall was also unwilling to help speed up the pace of play, despite admitting they screwed up the scheduling and shouldn’t have let anyone book tee times. Go play somewhere else or call ahead to make sure they won’t waste your day waiting.

I am normally not one to write reviews. But this is the worst experience I have ever had at any golf course ever, and the worst customer service I’ve ever witnessed. Pace of play is incredibly slow. We were waiting on every single tee box. Half the course is covered in duck poop and the other half smells like poop because it’s close to a dump. Me and my dad planned a golf weekend at the end of January specifically because it’s the off season and prices are cheaper. We had scheduled a tee time in advance in the early afternoon to play 18 holes, we tee’d off an hour after our tee time because they were so far behind. By the time we finished just the first 9 it was close to getting dark. So we went in to get a rain check on the back 9. Gene at the front desk was not very happy about it and clearly did not want to give us a rain check but said he can credit us 25 bucks that we can put toward 9 holes another time or use there at their pro shop. The next day is the end of the off season and prices go up to 80 dollars. So you can see why 25 dollars doesn’t seem like much when the next day it will only pay for a third of a 9 hole round. Any other course I’ve ever experienced would immediately give you 9 free holes and apologize that they were so behind. Gene, nor their general manager Marco who then came out to argue with us why it wasn’t their fault ever gave any sort of apology in any way. They acted like it was our fault we didn’t get through all 18 holes even though we teed off an hour after our tee time because they were so backed up. I will never golf here again. I come to Saint George every year with a large group of friends to golf and we will definitely be avoiding this golf course from now on. With all the nice courses around, go anywhere else. Go play sand hollow, the people there are so incredibly nice and the course is 10 times better than this place. It’s a real bummer too, the course could be so good if the management there didn’t absolutely suck.

P.s. Their lunch deal with a round of golf is also a total sham, you don’t get the full menu, you can get a hot dog and a bag of chips or like a salad. It doesn’t even come with a drink! like seriously. It’s almost funny how much of a joke...

Still a nice layout but this round was spoiled by construction going on along the 1st fairway and up above the 8th green along with loads of bare spots on the fairways. It didn’t help to have the Pro Shop tell me at check-in that our 1:30 tee time was solid because everything was on time. We were a foursome behind a twosome and waiting to hit at every tee box. As we pulled up to the 9th hole, the cart GPS showed we were 25 minutes behind. I called the Pro Shop to see if there was a Marshal on the course to fix the clog. It took a call to the restaurant with a request for transfer to the Pro Shop because 3 calls made directly went to voicemail. When I finally spoke to the person who answered and explained the situation, I was told they would check the GPS system to see what was going on and send a message to the cart(s). Paying $140pp at an hour that is almost twilight, I had higher expectations. Twosome we werepaired with paid $75pp with a resident coupon for after 1:00pm.

When we got to the 10th tee box, we were waiting to hit while reading a sign saying we should be 2 hours 15 minutes into our round. We were well past 3 hours and since the delay had been growing worse with every hole after 6, we did a u-turn and left to ensure we would still make our dinner reservations.

Staff with whom we interacted were friendly enough, but ineffective. Not worthy of a second visit for me when there are so many other...
