We are a group of Washington county golfers who play several times a week at the courses here in the St George area. Our preference is to play 9 holes. We have played Green Springs several times and enjoy the scenic views and course layout. Our issue stems from the scheduling. If you only want to play 9 holes, you will be scheduled after 2pm and in the summer the temperatures can reach the upper 90°s. You cannot schedule 9 holes on-line but have to call in. Three times this year we have scheduled 9 holes only to discover that we were not on the schedule. Once the course was closed for aeration (but we had been scheduled) another time we showed up but discovered that we were not on the schedule. Recently we called in several days prior to the tee-time we had scheduled, just to check and guess what⌠not on the schedule. One time was probably just a mistake by the person entering the tee-time but 3 times! We typically schedule two times (we will have 8 players playing) so thatâs leaving some money on the table but maybe itâs just the course knowing itâs more profitable scheduling for 18 holes than for 9?
We know with all the technology, the goal is to streamline the scheduling and reduce the phone calls to the clubhouse, but with Green Springs and you have a scheduled tee-time you might just want to call ahead...
Read moreThe front 9 holes are very fun and challenging! The back 9 are average. Carts are Gas engines without GPS. I'm a very respectful golfer and I've spent lots of money here because I live right above it. I recently had a bad experience with an employee, A few weeks back an older gentleman working in the Pro Shop was very nice and gave me all of the details for their men's league. (I've never played in one and been golfing for one year) I showed up early with my 2 friends as advised and was treated like I did something wrong. They let us use 2 carts both marked 4B for men's league but we were told we were not allowed to play in the league because "it's full". How was it full if there were still empty carts that were specifically marked 4B for the league not being used? They did not want us there even though we were respectful and would have zero chances of...
Read moreThe course was pretty bung up, but for this time of the year it was okay. Our golf cart died on the 4th hole and it took a while to get through to someone at the clubhouse to let them know. We let people go through, but play got backed up anyways. They finally brought out a different cart but people were complaining that things were all backed up so the course marshal came and supervised our last hole making sure we kept play moving. That was quite annoying even though he tried to be nice about it. It was kind of like your boss looking over your shoulder making sure you are doing what you should. Maybe we'll go back. We'll...
