I was very disappointed since I had heard nice things about the place. I went in to buy my wife a gift The store is cute to a point, but below my expectations. Most stuff is from China. I could go anywhere and buy the China junk. The vintage items are not well maintained and are a pretty hefty price. The outside is junky and run down. Most of the building looks like it is falling down or peeling away. Has so much stuff outside it blocks the sidewalk. Very annoying attempting to walk. The inside is pretty run down too. Lots of dust like most stuff has been sitting around. Most displays you can't read the price ticket as there is so much stuff crammed all over. I was afraid to touch something out of fear the whole display would fall. The displays are set up like a hoarder convention. If you are allergic to dust or are not ambulatory this store is not for you. There is no ADA compliance and getting upstairs on very steep steps is not for the light hearted. I was not only thoroughly impressed with the many items of interest but also the owner's knowledge of the town and the history he shared with us. Waterloo is indeed a treasure unto itself and more people should stop by to embrace the rich heritage this location brings.
