If your thinking about going to Mary's emporium to look for a deal on perishable food items, "proceed with caution" this guy gets extremely outdated food items from everywhere he can for pennies then sells this trash for almost retail pricing. I used visit this place, and purchased food items,not paying much attention to dates on the food items, until I ended up in the hospital from extreme ecoli food poisoning, 5day of my life that I will never get back. So after I got out of the hospital,I made another visit to Mary's emporium,andtook a closet look at the food items.. examples, mayonnaise over a year out of best by date, breads over a month outdated, maet and poultry in freezers repackaged to hide the expired dates, hostess products two to three months outdated. Practically every item in that store is out of control extremely outdated, and when I called him and his mother out on their greedy ignorance,they replied with , this is why we put "Salvage Stickers on our items" so they know that they are responsible for getting people sick, but they don't care!! Their greed is all that matters to them!!! So wake up people, is this the kind of business establishment you really want to do business with? I will never step foot inside that " food poisoning trap" I'm still wondering how the Iroquois health dept. Allows them to still sell all that expired garbage they call food.? I'm guessing the health dept is getting paid to give them a pass, since they are trying to get around the rules by calling all that garbage food "Salvage Food" which to me makes the health dept.just as guilty as the owners of Mary's emporium.for allowing this...

If I could give this zero stars, I would. I have been a loyal customer since I was a young child going with my grandma. I went in there today and was treated like a criminal because my purse is a small backpack. The woman behind the register was rude and unfriendly, just assuming me and my friend stole from them. She made the young girl there go behind us to try and sneak a peak in my friends purse. I have never stolen in my life, and to make assumptions and treat customers like this is how you will go out of business. Miserable...

Use to love going in the store when Lou use to own it but since the new owners have taken over they allow a certain employee to disrespect and get loud and rude with customers and on a few occasions put their hands on them because they're having a bad hair day not cool and the mother of the owner will side with that employee every single time not cool Lou didn't tolerate that nonsense .
