Gutter Bound Distillery — Local services in Waverly

While traveling cross-country we happened on this awesome moonshine distillery! We were the only folks there when we arrived and were immediately greeted by the owners, who were such nice people and gave us a great tour/tasting. We proceeded to spend another couple of hours there, met some wonderful locals, and had such a good time we accidentally left our shine! What a fun and unique experience! We stopped in on the way back from Nashville on a whim thinking we might try one or two. We wound up doing a full tasting and a tour of the distilling area and it was a blast!! We joined the Taster's Club which gets you a personalized glass to drink out of and a private members only night once a month. Genius idea... we live around 45 minutes away so it isn't right around the corner but we will be back as often as we can... the moonshine was the best I've had (that you can get legally) lots of different flavors and they aren't sugar bombs either. This was the best first moonshine shop we’ve ever visited!! The owner was closed for brewing but let us in anyways. He let us try whatever flavor and let me tell you they are delicious!! Best part is he gives a card for each flavor with a mixed drink list. I tried the apple pie shine with sweet tea over ice on a hot august afternoon - there’s nothing like the feeling and I’m glad these distilleries exist! Thank you for sharing your passion...
