“Let’s ask Sue” is our new mantra for all of our decorating needs. I’m being total honest. We recently went shopping for new master bedroom furniture and décor and my wife and I got totally overwhelmed with the myriad of choices available. Dazed and confused from a long day of wondering around all the big box stores and being stalked, we finally stopped in White House Living. We walked into an amazing showroom that had unique pieces throughout. We stopped in the doorway not knowing if we should go inside (and be overwhelmed, again) or run! Then Sue greeted us. Having told her about our day, she reassuringly sat us at her desk and talked to us, not at us. She asked about style, color, functionality, and budget. Her repour eased and focused us. With her many years of design experience, Sue is very efficient in her approach to the process. Her advice and guidance were invaluable. She met with us for the afternoon and helped select furniture and accessories for our bedroom.

“Let’s call Sue” We had such a pleasant experience we decided to meet with Sue for our living room and dining room remodel. We built-up such a nice relationship with Sue that this time went smoothly. We had paint color anxiety and Sue said: “well you have a beautiful grey in your bedroom, how about this color? It’s called Griege.” Perfect match to our new floor. On to the furniture. Easy-peasy!

All the designers at White House Living are pleasant and approachable. You can tell they truly love designing. As they walked by they would stop and discuss our selections and give their advice and speak honestly. “Shopping” at WHL made us feel like part of a design team that collaborated to make our decisions easy. I stumbled upon this store by chance and couldn’t be more pleased. Met with Veronica Pluta on two separate days and both times she was patient, informative, and helpful more so than any decorator at any of the other 6 stores I had visited prior. She had me email her photos of my living room and walked me through every option and then brought me around the gorgeous showroom to sit on basically every couch within my price range. I finally decided on a smith brothers sectional and also an upholstered ottoman. Veronica’s guidance and suggestions while customizing every little piece of my sectional were perfectly stated and I never felt pushed or as if my taste or wishes were put aside because she was the decorator. She is top notch and I feel so lucky to have had such a great guide in helping me redo my living room. The store itself is full of beautiful pieces and so many different manufacturers to choose from. The fabric end of the showroom is also something to see. Hundreds and hundreds of options and never a rush to get you out of the store. Surprisingly my pieces came in earlier than I expected and the and men who came to deliver took extreme care with bringing each piece into my home and setting it up for me. Last spring I had my kitchen remodeled; and I got new Hunter Douglas blinds for the kitchen windows. I absolutely loved the new sleek, modern, minimalist design. They providing warmth and privacy, while also providing good clear vision to the outside. They are so flexible, with just a touch of the remote moving the blinds up and down and moving the slats from closed to partially open. It also also great that I can control all of these actions from the app on my iPhone. So, I decided that I also wanted to put this new design of Hunter Douglas blinds in my bedroom. That installation was just completed yesterday. These blinds add such style to each room; and when I have my upstairs bedrooms re-painted next year, I am also going to purchase this new design of Hunter Douglas blinds for those 2 bedrooms. My sales representative was fantastic is assessing my wants and needs and preferences and professionally and efficiently directed me to the blinds that were for me. The installer is so skilled at installing the blinds and explaining the controller which can be used to open and close the blinds and the slats; but he also helped me install the app on my iPhone and showed me how to use my iPhone to do the same functions. He also explained about checking for updates. The Hunter Douglas products and team are the best; and I highly recommend them...
