I am currently attending college at Haywood community college. The staff has been very accommodating to me in spite of this being a rural area. I have issues with accessibility and they have gone over and above to work with me. For the first few weeks, I needed help getting to classes. I am totally blind and the campus is rather large. A member of the staff was willing to walk with me every day until I could learn the route. The advisers are also very considerate of students needs. They have been wonderful.    Read moreI went here for a driving course in buildings 1600, for escorting oversize,over wide, over height, overweight, and wide loads.. immediately after entering the door, it was clear to me that this place was a autobody class and maybe a mechanic class. inside the building was very clean for one the restrooms, and all the vending machines was neat, with access. And the instructor was great. She was very thorough with her job and talked about everything made sure that everyone in the room understood and knew exactly what we were trying to learn. As a service member, I was not allowed to graduate because I missed too many classes, and "military service is not considered an excused absence". They fired the VA person because she helped too many veterans complete the application process. DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A VETERAN.
