To say I was disappointed with my experience here would be an understatement. If I could leave zero stars I would. I initially was very excited to join after my boss told me of our company discount that was available. I called to confirm that we qualified for the discount and spoke to Denise. I was told that yes, we would qualify but when I proceeded with additional questions about the facility, I was rushed off the phone with half answers and then hung up on before I could continue. A coworker and I went that same day after work to sign up and were met with what I can only call hostility from the people at the front desk. The male staff member on duty immediately started questioning us about the discount. After we told him we had spoken with Denise, the manager, he hesitantly let us fill out the application but said we would have to come back to provide paycheck stubs as proof of employment. We took the applications and got our pay stubs ready, then returned a few days later to complete the sign up process. When we returned, the same man was at the front desk and as soon as he saw us, he grabbed Denise. At that point, Denise came out of her office and started yelling that they had never offered a discount to our company. We explained that our boss was a member and that she has been receiving the discount for 10 or more years. They said they could not speak about other members’ accounts and that it was only given to contractors (our boss is NOT a contractor). At that point, we decided to look elsewhere for a gym to join. Now I completely understand if the discount did not in fact apply to us, but at no point where we told of our other options. I would have gladly paid the 10 dollar difference in price had that been given as an option and if we had not been treated like criminals trying to pull a fast one. Furthermore, the attitude we received from Denise specifically was totally unprofessional. We have both since joined a different gym and our experience there could not be more different. It has been so pleasant that 8 other members of our families have now joined with us. I will not be recommending this facility to anyone and to be honest, after our treatment, I wouldn’t even...
Read moreI'm really disappointed in aspects of the club which use to make it worth spending the additional monies for membership. Since Covid the therapy pool has not been in use and now because of "underlying conditions" of the pool. I used it to recover from a torn Achilles tendon and was great for stretching and using the jets on my back but there apparently are NO plans to get this going again. The steam room has been needing repair for an excess period of time and it seems like it's down at least 2-3 times a year for extended periods of time. And even though you're supposed to wear a towel in the sauna or steam, you can not even pay extra for 2 towels at the front desk, so what is a person supposed to do because the steam and sauna both end up soaking a towel when sitting on it. I like the bench to be completely covered for obvious reasons and wearing a swimsuit doesn't accomplish this. I'll be moving to another facility which is less than half the price and suggest others consider this...
Read moreHaywood Fitness is a bit pricey. This facility only has limited equipment and can only accommodate so many people at a time. The weightlifting area is very small and all the machines are wayyy to close to each other. Not enough space to even breathe. The treadmills are lined up like they all work but only about 5 actually work and it’s been like this for about 2 weeks or more. This gym does not have enough equipment to accommodate the members they have signed up. It’s not worth the price! A gym needs multiple machine for each body part so members will not have to wait to get on it and if you cannot keep the equipment working get rid of it and get something else that’s not taken up space. Sometimes paying for convenience isn’t worth the hassle. Get Some Good Working Equipment. Lower the price or bring in more working equipment. The Hot Tube been covered for over 3months. If you looking for good equipment to get a good workout I recommend you drive a lil farther to get your...
