We attended these fairgrounds for a geocaching "Mega" event, GeoWoodstock XV, and found them very pleasant. There were very nice outdoor and indoor spaces capable of being used for variety of purposes. Everything was in a good state of repair and most of the structures were within easy walking distance of each other. Also, there was plenty of parking, and again, it was close to the structures. Some of the nicer fair grounds I've been too. Virtually everything was modern and appeared in good condition. Weather was perfect over the Memorial Day weekend. These are nice fairgrounds.

Omg I went in Oct and again in April for the best damned band in the land they go by papadosio. What a beautiful weekend with such a beautiful crowd. The energy and vibes they set are like no other its not big fam. It's been a pleasure to see these boys grow over the years.

It was a great concert, I wish they would post a list of all of the bands that played. I know Southern Mule and New to Earth were 2 of 7 bands.

The Smokey Mountain Events Center in Clyde NC is a great place for the Haywood County Fair and the Arena is great for Rodeo and livestock Events. The large building where Events are held is very nice. We were there for the Annual Goard Gathering that has been held in Cherokee NC for several years. They tore down the building so a new place had to be found. This is a much better place for sure. Everything is inside and there is plenty of parking. The raw Gourd sales was held in the livestock barn area which was so much better than before where multiple tents had to be used. I hope that the Gourd festival committee will be able to use this facility for many years. If an event is located here I believe that you will enjoy...

It was good to see the Air Force Jr. ROTC there directing traffic.

Not sure how the rest of the weekend went, but Thursday was lacking flair. The exhibits were nice but sparse. Food vendors brought a bright spot. While space was limited, the rides were few and expensive. Bracelets were over-priced, but probably the better way to go. If we're spending $3 and up per ride, the timed rides could have lasted a little longer, and more than one trip down the slide. Overall, a family is going to spend close to $100 (or more) to park, eat, and...
