Will never shop there again; the store has "shanty-town" vibe and type of employees; I was harassed there today (after shopping there for many months without an issue). I've been told by 2 females to put my small backpack under the shopping cart because it's their "policy": I had to leave the store (while they kept rudely talking at me). These 2 women were packing the isle with gadgets around 11-11.30am on Tuesday, April 24. My backpack alone happens to cost more than any item in this store, not to mention numerous valuables in it, and it being clean (something I wear on my clean clothes and put on my bed). They demanded I put it on a dirty underside of a shopping cart and leave it vulnerable to theft, with all my IDs, bank cards, laptop, phones and business documents in it. FYI, most professionals carry backpacks now, it's 2018. I'm an engineer and can afford living without stealing from your horrible store, where a customer is treated like a 2nd class person. Apparently, this store is OK with trashbag-sized "purses", just not with professionals' backpacks. Not to mention some people want to carry purchases in the backback instead of toxic chemical-smelling plastic bags they sell. They created shanty-town type of store in a nice small town: the kind of people they'll attract will be exactly what they're looking for, since they treat customers as lowlives. Normal person will avoid this store...
Read moreI have been to this store in many different places. Too many times I have gone into this particular store here to see that a product has a price on the shelf but then get to the till and the price is considerably different and higher than it says on the shelf. Others I know have the same exact thing routinely happen to them. Starting to wonder if the management at this particular store is a reason for it. When it happened yet again today with the price being $1.50 more at the till than what it said on the shelf I asked for a manager who came along and that person was extremely rude to me. They just played it off like it was no big deal then would not honor what the lower price said even after checking. Seems like this particular store knows the other stores in the area are way more expensive and feel they can do whatever they want here because of it. They should have a price guarantee here and quit scanming people who have no choice other than to shut up and deal with it because they have no other choice. Shame on you Grocery Outlet! Edit... Just discovered that Grocery Outlet locations are privately owned by locals. Guess thst explains why this one truly sucks. SOME PEOPLE SHOULD NOT OWN BUSINESSES ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY ARE...
Read moreTruth be know, this place is wonderful in the midst of incredible inflation and living in a remote area that gets gouged because of its climate. I really enojoy shopping here, not only are the employees so helpful and nice, the selection is always better than average and an extraordinary value. Compared to other options locally this is the place to go 90% of the time at least. The manager Rodney, God Bless that dude, he really knows his wines and they always have great selections at wonderful prices, I am really impressed. (Napa grape is always the best wines, period.) Have you tried that Carne Asada flank steak seasoned with a marinade that is out of this world, look for it. I laugh when I see Josh wine 2019 at every other store and I go to Grocery Outlet Weed and they have the 2016 for $9.99. The prices for vegetables is over the top and I also love their gourmet cheeses. You can't go wrong here, I'm so glad they are only five minutes away and managed so well. People who work there, you can tell they like their job, they know they are part of the solution for saving folks money in hard desparate times. Grocery Outlet Weed California, you are a fantastic local business in Siskiyou County with...
