Rip-offs. I had two right side tire blowouts from swiping a curb on my 2024 Audi Q5. AAA towed my car to Neighborhood Automotive. They quoted me over $2000 for all four tires, saying I would have to have it towed somewhere else if I wanted only 2 tires. Since I had only 12,000 miles on the car, I insisted on only 2 tires as allowed according to the Audi manual. Only the front desk would talk with me, and not a mechanic. Although the shop finally agreed to mount 2 tires, they mounted both tires on one side of the car, not paired per axle, and they were all-weather treads while the original were not. They said they did what I wanted, but again not giving me a mechanic to speak with. This outfit only knows how to make money, but knows nothing about tires. Furthermore, they did not know how to reset the tire monitor, and the steering wheel was adjusted to the lowest and furthest position, making it hazardous for my wife to drive home. To paraphrase The Band, I pulled into South Wellfleet, was feelin' 'bout half past dead after 6 hours on the road and found I had a flat tire with metal the size of a dollar coin embedded therein. And of course it was a Saturday with nuthin' open. Monday at 8:30am I used my portable air compressor to fill the tire and speed down Rt 6 a mile from my motel to Wellfleet Auto Repair before it flattened again. There I found Tammy, already knee deep in desperate vactioneers experiencing similar fates (and worse). Harried, she nonetheless took pity on my plight and diagnosed fix-a-flat wasn't gonna cut it. I left the car, she tracked down an exact replacement and her hired hand Kevin did the rest, balancing the wheels and securing a loose engine spash protector gratis. He made promises he did not keep. When I arrived to pick up my car it had not even been touched. When I inquired about when it would be fixed I was told the mechanics had left and she has no idea if they were even coming back. I had my car towed to another garage and it was repaired in 30 minutes. Yes it was only a 30 minute repair. Don’t go here. Later that afternoon he called me and gave me attitude because I went to another garage. Don’t go here. Even with my additional towing expense I saved $200.00 on the repair. Don’t go here.
