Over priced. Many children's resale shops sell their bodysuits for $1-$2. Found one, very well loved bodysuit here for $4.04 and didn't even want to pick through the rest. And word to the wise - test any toy like a toddler would use it. Bought an Elmo toy for $4.88 and it has a very clear malfunction, doesn't move at all and doesn't finish a single song. I didn't want to be a bother to other shoppers by testing it. I should have. Very happy this was only a $5 lesson learned. Saw a lot of toys missing pieces; even a record player toy missing all the records. Then found a child's lamp base with a $4.99 price tag from goodwill still on it with their $15 tag slapped on the other side. I've always heard such great things about "St. Vinny's". This should not even get 1 star.....first time at this store today and will NEVER go back. Wanted to purchase a doll that was marked 2.88. The girl at the checkout had to go talk to the manager because it was not marked high enough for what it was. She came back and said that we can’t sell it to you for this price....we have to look it up on eBay to see how much they are selling for and then we can call you if you are still interested. Obviously their people marked it at the 2.88 - and they suddenly made their problem my problem. Poor, poor, poor customer service - the prices that they are marked should be the prices that are honored!! I buy a lot of kids clothes and women's clothes as well as the occasional home item at vinnies. I'll admit I can find cheaper prices elsewhere, but hunting high and low for my son's or my size is exhausting at garage sales. Vinnies has better selection than goodwill, and to cut costs I almost exclusively shop their 50% off deals. Some days are better than others, but I almost always find at least one good deal. They also have a 10% off membership card (no fee) and a deal with other area vinnies for 20% and 30% off that I make use of. It adds up and I frequently leave with a massive bag of items for under $100. I've found designer gowns, brand new kids jeans, and brand new boys shoes for a steal. Stick to the 50% off tags and you can't complain...
