Copper Penny Family Restaurant — Restaurant in West Bend

Went for a late breakfast and when we walked in the greeting was lackluster. Hostess pointed to table in a non welcoming way. Busboy was good brought coffee. Waited at least 15 minutes for waitress to come take order, was not welcoming nor friendly. Didn't check if table needed refills, had to flag down busboy to get refill. Food was not prepared properly and waitress again never checked on table. Once done waited 15+ minutes for bill ended up going to register to pay. Hostess again seemed bothered and pained to help. When you whole job is to be a server maybe pay attention to your table instead of doing non-work related tasks. Glad there are better options...

Restaurant is located in an older strip mall, but don't let this deter you from trying it out. Food is prepared as requested. Portions are nice sized for the price. Staff is friendly & helpful if you can't decide what to eat. No discount if you don't want an item that comes with your meal, like no hash browns or toast. You can always order items separately. Gets REALLY busy Saturday & Sunday mornings. Sometimes a 1/2 hour wait just to be seated, but they take your drink order as soon as you are seated. Food is served quickly & at the right temperature. We were seated a few minutes after we arrived which was good. 20 minutes later once seated we still didnt have someone come and take our order. I had to ask the bus boy to find out who was supposed to be taking care of us. Someone came over then. We weren’t asked if we wanted anything to drink. The waitress didnt come and tell us they didnt have raisin toast till our food came out. Then when she did he never got the white toast either. People that walked in after us were served there food before us. Couldnt taste any meat in the greek omelette. Not a good experience....
