Lush Nails — Local services in West Hanover Township

I really don’t want to be so stingy with the stars giving that the staff were friendly and the place is nice and well maintained but good gravy. I called in for an appointment on my way home from work given some reviews on yelp I thought it would be worth a try. It wasn’t. I wanted chrome and was politely talked out of it so I went for a different gel color. It took 3 woman and 4 tries they couldn’t find the color and then attempted to convince me otherwise saying the color fades on the wheel. One even went as far as to have the tech paint her nail and dry it with the lamp. Sure. I’m still not picking whatever it is you’re trying to give me. . I then picked another basic color because well what else is there other than gaudy or sparkles so okay. I get done with my mani and it was no bueno. I have dips in the gel from it being applied too thin or too thick in one area. I then walk over to the pedi station only to have to ask someone to come clean up around the edges because the gel had run down the sides and left color outside my nails which will pull and lift in 5 days tops. Pedi station wasn’t bad but was rinsed with Luke warm water. The tech dried my feet but not my legs and then rubbed the lotion in. Which is fine but wrap them with the warm towel first so they’re not freezing. She did the gel on my toes and touched it with the light twice requiring extra touch ups. I’m not impressed. I literally got the most basic boring mani/pedi ever and that wasn’t even well executed. It’s a shame. Not to mention the 2 hours it took for what I can get elsewhere in an hour. Excellent customer service, sanitary salon, and a relaxing atmosphere. Each and every one of the employees interact with you, together with the other customers in the salon, giving off more of a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. (Rather than the salons where the employees will barely engage in conversation with their clients, let along speak in the English language.)

FOLLOWING APPLIES TO GEL MANICURE ONLY: The real issue I had with Lush Nails was 2 days after I was at the salon, my gel manicure started peeled off completely one finger nail and the tips of almost every nail were also chipped off already. Usually my gel manicures last almost 2 weeks.

I did notice their UV lighting was on a timer and shut off before you would normally take your hand out of the ones at salons where the employees manually turn them off.

i’ve been to a few really bad nail salons in my time being, but i must say, NONE are as good as here. first off, let’s talk about the filing process. my nail tech spent 45 min just shaping the tips, making sure that they are even in length and shape. the acrylic process was so detailed, and he went into 3 different filers to make sure they were smooth and even. i’ve never had a male nail tech be so cautious with my hands, as well. sometimes the acrylic, after drying, can get on your skin. but he pushed back the skin BEFORE filing, to make sure that he wouldn’t file my skin. the last salon i was at, they made me bleed. when he applied the gel polish, he took his time, and didn’t even have to clean up after, because it was so perfect! i can’t even express how amazing this place is. i definitely will be...
