Weis Markets — Local services in West Hazleton

I don't know what happened at this Weis markets since it reopened. I went to the Bloomsburg Weis when hazleton burned down. Their employees are far more knowledgeable and so very helpful. But my biggest gripe about the Hazleton store is they only have 1 checkout person ringing out. Lots of people standing around and talking but no one checking. Bloomsburg has at least 4 people ringing up the groceries. I am now paying substantially more for my groceries and also have to bag myself. Give me a discount for that and I will do it gladly. As a customer, do yourself a favor and drive the extra 5-10 min.(especially if you are in the valley) I assure you it is well worth the time!! Using my receipt I have a mini story about store 68 west hazleton pa. I was in there today sitting in the booths. There was a can of beer which had a paid sticker on it and a salad. The booth was empty. I looked out and there was a white dude all covered in mud smoking a cigarette. He proceeded to come in store started drinking beer got aggressive saying “how ya doin buddy?” I immediately left and on the way out I told a first level manager who was doing a reset of the issue. His reply “I’ll tell someone “ after that I call store to speak with the beer department manager who also didn’t care

I used to shop at a Weis store long ago where I lived. Since moving up to carbon county, haven't been to one. We stopped at this one in hazelton to pick up some items for Thanksgiving dinner. We needed some specialty supplies. Asking an associate where to find them. She told us where to go to find it. Shortly after getting to the correct aisle. The same associate showed up to make sure we found what we were searching for. She was very helpful, and friendly. As expected on the day before a holiday. Checking out was as fast as it could be. Given the amount of ppl shopping that day. Excellent experience, lots to choose from....
