I'm not sure where to start when talking about Jeannette and what she did for my book. She was truly an angel sent from above to put the perfect wrappings around a very rough draft of a book I had been working on for many years. This was my first book and I was unsure about the entire process. Jeannette guided me through and did wonders for my book. She is an editing wizard and she worked with me every step of the way.
I would recommend Innovative Editing and the powers of Jeannette DiLouie to anyone who has a book in them and wishes to bring it to life. For many people this can seem like an impossible dream. Innovative Editing can help make it a reality.

Ps. Normally I would stop my review there but I'm going to run the extra mile here just like Jeannette did for me when I worked with her. I was a perfectionist when it came to my book. I know I was a handful at times (I made her do five edits even though it probably only needed three).
Jeannette navigated me through the rough waters and she was a guiding light in the dark times of editing. Her patience and reassurance were truly priceless. It is scary to put a book into the world and times of doubt can creep in your head as you approach the publication finish line.
Michelangelo once said, "I created a vision of David in my mind and simply carved away everything that was not David." This quote was in my head for years as I tried to bring a book to life. I don't consider myself much of a writer but I knew I had a story. For 16 years I chipped away and knew I had something but I just did not know how to bring it to life or finish it. Many times I quit because I thought, "Who am I to write a book?" After putting it down for over five years, I finally decided to actually try to finish the book no matter what it would take. I knew the final piece was going to be an editor. I knew it needed A LOT of work if I was going to publish it.
Since I had been working on this rough draft for so long it had become almost like a child to me. So I wanted to find the "perfect editor" if I was going to hand it over to someone. It was a story about my seven sisters and my father so it was very personal to me. I prayed for the right person to help me get "my child" ready for the big scary book world. Yes, 16 million books on Amazon is very intimidating to a rookie author! My rough draft was my piece of marble and I carried it around for years looking for my Michelangelo. Well, Jeannette was that person. She helped turn my rough draft into a published book. She helped me bring my...
Read moreJeanette is absolutely a life saver for my book project. I have a lot of good stuff to get out there but not good at putting it together and presenting it. It would have been a disaster without her. Jeanette is fast and skilled and spot on in all of her feed-back. I am consistently amazed at how quick she is to understand what I want to say and find ways to express it so I end up feeling I am a lot better than I thought I was (which is pretty cool). I love her up-beat optimism and passion for her work that is contagious when you get tired of your own writing. I like her honesty and kind and caring ways when she meed to tell you to leave some of your beloved paragraphs out of the picture. I almost feel like I am her only client - there is always time to take care...
Read moreFinding Jeannette was so fortunate for me as a brand new writer. She is an incredible editor who offers suggestions that are brilliant. Her editing skills are second-to-none and I will forever trust her with any project I am working on. But even more important, she was always there to offer encouragement to me. She understood whatever excuse I made and helped me get back on the right path. Jeannette loves what she does and it shows in all aspects of her work. More than anything,, she wants you to succeed and whatever project you are working on to be the best ever. I cannot thank her enough for all she has...
