My kids, my husband and I walk to Reams at least twice a week and we drive there, to do actual grocery shopping 2-3 times a week..... and up until tonight, I have always loved going there. My 2 year old daughter and I just got back from walking there (with a stroller). While we were at the check out stand, an employee (I’m guessing a shift manager) approached us and asked if I had forgotten the stuffed animal on the bottom of the stroller— I am not grouchy about that at all bc, maybe I did forget.... but I didn’t. I told him “no, we had that when we came in (it was a big cat) and I even dug under my daughters bum to show him the second, “baby cat” we already had. THEN, he actually picked up her stuffed animal, examined it, and sat there awkwardly, as if I were lying! I felt so dumb, as if I had done something wrong. I told him, we didn’t even look at any stuffed animals and I was more than happy to hang around while he checked the cameras to see if I stole anything— he never responded to me but instead, walked away real quick like and proceeded to talk to another employee, explaining to them, I “probably” had stolen merchandise. The girl working the cash register was really nice and I’m sure she could tell how embarrassed I felt and how ridiculous he looked (they were clearly a couple of stuffed animals that had been loved on, cuddled with and slobbered on)... anyway, she was really nice, but the damage was done- One he felt, smelled and practically tasted my daughters stuffed animals, had he apologized, I would have responded with: “I completely understand- I’m sure you have to deal with dishonest people all the time.” But he didn’t apologize or even acknowledge the fact he was wrong, instead, he continued to talk about me to other employees. (I’d also like to mention, anytime we have snacks on our walks, I like to show an employee as we walk in just as a “cya”... I didn’t think I had to show them dirty old stuffed animals too. I don’t think I’ll ever go there again- smiths is also in walking distance and at least they don’t have old expired food on...
Read moreWe have shopped at this location over 20 years. My wife was charged the wrong price and asked Brandon if it went in right and he said yes. She noticed it did not work, so Brandon called over the grocery manager, and he basically said it would have to be investigated and he would not be able to fix it. So she went out to her car and thought this is stupid. She went back in the store and grabbed new items and had Brandon ring them up again. This time it worked. Amazing right. She asked him if he would like help putting the second items back when he cut her off with hand jester clasping is thumb and fingers together and whooshing them up . This jester basically means shut up and leave. Don’t worry I will make sure we never shop here again and that will allow more time for Brandon to sit...
Read moreThe cashiers all sit on their phones and basically ignore you until everything is on the belt. Only then do they “greet” you if looking at you and rolling their eyes counts. I am so tired of this store. It used to be a good store with friendly people. Now the only one that is friendly is an older lady with graying hair. She is probably the ONLY one that has ever smiled at me in the last dozen times I have been there. I think I’m just going to bite the bullet and not shop anymore at reams. Even that lady that I have seen at that “customer service” box has had more bad days than I can count. Even my kids have called her the “witch lady” yes I scolded them before, now I’m not sure that...
