CAUTION; WATCH Out! Observe "ALL SALES FINAL" signs because no matter what "you bought it" so tuff, "Get out of my store" and bad language. So Purchased a new Martin x series acoustic and PRS SE electric Floyd used 48 hours ago. I am a beginner at guitar and gullible lacking hardware expertise. Two attempts at practice on PRS found it very difficult to keep tuned and very complicated to tune correctly because I was unfamiliar with Floyd Rose. Contacted a friend and owner of several PRS, Gibson, Fender, guitars and Floyd Rose owner to ask him if he would just look over my purchase. He did tune the guitar but pointed out "set up issues" with the neck and bridge and told me this is a complicated and sensitive guitar probably not the best for a beginner. So I tried immediately to trade the guitar back or just get a refund. "NO refund". Owner rudely in loud and bad language accused me of "tampering " with guitar and then wanting to get my money back to take advantage of him etc etc. So I just said "well I would like to return everything I purchased if you are going to be loud and misspoken, of course he ordered me out of his store and pointed to the "All Sales Final "sign. I hand even played the new Martin I purchased yet still in new case. Thought Martin had a warranty and short term return. Oh well, I feel poorly for the owners son , Kevin, because he is very good at the business and good with people. He seems very knowledgeable and knows how to treat customers and behave humanly with respect for others. He would turn that business into a very successful enterprise. (His star).Too bad his father will likely destroy it before that can happen. Swear to never set foot into that store again. And I will be writing to Martin Company for a heads up and what its worth, I was offended. Some business practices are not ethical but thats for them to find out. Too Bad. Lots of nice instruments! And relatively friendly service. My main grip: When I went in I really wanted to buy a new banjo, so I went to the wall and grabbed one to play, I borrowed a tuner from the owner, and went to the side room to hear the banjo. After playing for about 5 to 10 minutes, I was told to stop so another guy can play. (Which is fine I suppose, not really a problem) I then played after that guy left, for about 5 more minutes. I was then told I would only be allowed to play a little more and to move on. So I proceeded to give the banjo back. He then scolded me on taking the banjo off the wall without asking. (This was probably my fault for not seeing a sign, so I am not giving the owner any faults on that.) My only real problem was when he started complaining about how long I played the instrument and how he would have to clean it now. He then complained to my friend about how my generation sucks and that he would kick me out if he saw me again, and that I was being a real problem. This sucks because I really like the store and its atmosphere, I didn’t mean to give off this impression. I just wish he was more polite about it. I do want to buy from there. The owner is very disrespectful. Please DO NOT support this business. This store is located in the corner of a PLAZA, meaning that the parking spots located within the plaza is intended for customers of ANY of the businesses located in the plaza. The owner forced me to move my vehicle because he didn’t want me parking in front of his store. There is NO assigned parking in that plaza. I am recovering from a surgery on my wrist so I went to grab a cup of coffee at my favorite coffee shop located right next door after my physical therapy appointment for my wrist so I can relax and work on my laptop. Before I even was able to take a sip of my latte the owner barged in telling me that I needed to move my vehicle away from his store. Driving alone is uncomfortable given my injury so the fact I had to stop what I was doing and move my car to the VERY NEXT parking space was very absurd. Honestly I was on the verge of tears from the commotion he caused. This is not ok, I would never want anyone else to go...
