Slingers Bar — Restaurant in West Melbourne

Came in here for karaoke. Didn’t realize I was stepping into a time machine where people still smoke INDOORS. There’s an ASHTRAY ON EVERY TABLE. I don’t mind people smoking - but INDOORS??! My mind is still blown. Big facility. Looked like a nice big dance floor. Pool tables. A couple of bars one on either side. Ashtray on every table can you believe it?! Thought that was against the law like a long time ago?! Apparently not here. So if you like to chain smoke while you drink -play pool and sit at the bar - along with literally every other person there then this is your spot. Smokers don’t even like to smoke inside. It’s absurd in this day and age. Mind blown. Would have loved to stay and have some drinks sing some songs but it wasn’t even a option with 40 people smoking at once inside the place. I love love love ❤️ karaoke. I brought a friend with me to experience karaoke and the owner came over to greet us while I waited to sing so I thought. Instead he asked if we wanted something to drink when we said did not he stated we could at least buy a soda because that’s how he makes money. In doing that it really felt like we were being singled out. I have been here several times and never encountered this sort of customer service. My first time their and I fell in love with the bartender Christina. I've been in the bar and Nightclub bussiness for over 25 years. Christina is the type of employee that I would steal for my bussiness.She is very professional. She pours her drinks with the perfect pour. Speedy service. Appearance 110% : clean hands clean clothes, hair nicely pulled back. Bar area was very clean both bartenders were on point. Both friendly and entertain their guest.
