J Alexander Fine Jewelers has real jewelers on the premises, unlike most chain jewelry stores typically found in malls, and the only thing better than their excellent custom work is their very excellent customer service. Here are pictures of my custom engagement/wedding rings set done by J Alexander and their sister store, and of a custom diamond Initial necklace they made for me. They also customized some pieces of inherited jewelry for me, using diamonds from some pieces I inherited (and did not wish to keep) that they set into other pieces I inherited (which had no stones), one of which (the Star of David) is also pictured below. A year ago I dropped off 3 rings for resizing, 2 of which are gifts from my mom who passed away in 1988. I only got 2 rings back. I was told that the 3rd ring was still being worked on by the jeweler who was in NYC as we spoke looking for stones to replace the missing stones. Up till now I still haven't gotten the ring back. I was told that it has been lost. After many attempts on my side to get the ring back, I still do not have it. John Pytleski promised to pay me back $1,000.00. While I do believe the ring is worth more, I agreed just to get the matter over with. However, Mr. Pytleski has not paid what he promised. Plus since they do sell estate jewelry, I am not 100% sure that the ring was really lost. I do not trust him nor his co-workers/owners. I feel I have been told...

Thank you John for restoring my rings to their original beauty. I lost a diamond a while back when one of my prongs broke on a sweater. We never found the diamond. I was heartbroken. Fortunately my childhood best friend got engaged to an awesome jeweler. I'm finally able to get her back and I got my band freshened up as well. John you did an amazing job, not only did he replace the diamond but fix up all the prongs so I won't be losing anymore. It's like brand new. When he saw my wedding band was yellow he offered to rerodium and clean my wedding band included in the price. If you were closer I would recommend all my friends, but despite the hour and a half drive for me I will be back for all of my jewelry needs. I only trust...
