When the lights were on it was a very nice gift shop, grocery, and restaurant (I'll explain in a little bit).
So, during our visit to Yellowstone National Park we didn't get to visit too many gift shops so I'm not sure how this one compares to others, but if you're in the Grant Village or southern part of the park then this is one of a small number of places where you can stock up on supplies without having to drive too far.
As far as the gift shop, the selection of souvenirs were pretty good and most of the prices I saw were not too bad, but there were a handful of items that made us laugh due to its ridiculous pricing. Also, in one of the back corners they had some camping & hiking supplies available in case you forgot something at home.
We weren't very hungry at the time so I can't say anything about the restaurant (though it seemed lively so I'm guessing it's fine) and I guess I would have something to say about their grocery selection if it wasn't for the lights going out while I was shopping for gifts.
I guess this is a pretty common situation that the employees have to deal with because the cashiers just stayed at their registers (which were still useable during the outage) while the managers assured everyone that everything was fine and we could still make our purchases. Thankfully I was carrying a small flashlight with me so I was able to finish looking over the gifts for a little longer.
The cashier was in very good spirits as I was being rung up despite having a difficult time seeing what she was doing, but I gave her a bit of assistance with my flashlight and we were off to see more of what Yellowstone had to offer.
FYI, like others have stated, there are restrooms available at...

Definitely worth a stop if you aren't planning on hitting up any other park stores. They all carry the same stuff
My only complaint is the smell. The group of super wonderfully nice ladies that run this place seem to be in some sort of unspoken competition with each other to see who can dump the largest bottle of outdated expired perfume all over themselves before their shift starts.
We went here 3 days in a row and each time after getting within 25 ft of one of these ladies the smell was strong enough to burn my eyes and make me...

They were closed for the day and had a sign that said "Fountain closed" which made no sense. Fountain is not the name of the restaurant, nor is there a fountain nearby. Thus when we asked if they were open they were a little snarky. Oh well, not a big deal. We like the gift shop and the little grocery...
