Island Park Village Golf Course — Local services in West Yellowstone

My wife and I religiously play golf, have for years. We know golf etiquette, we know pace of play..

We unfortunately made the mistake of playing at this course and had to have unpleasant experiences with the course marshall. He made sure to blame us for holding everyone up and "spending too much time looking for 50 cent golf balls." Instead of playing.

Little did he know, we never had someone waiting on a tee box behind us. Matter of fact, the group in the front of us actually held us up but we let them, because no one was on pace to get behind us until the final hole so we wanted to let them enjoy their round and not push them unnecessarily.

The course marshall attitude was rude, he made unsavory assumptions, and not only rubbed our brother in law (who is just learning about golf) the wrong way. But he certainly rubbed us the wrong way on trying to enjoy a round at an area we travel to every year. Definitely will not be back. Strongly recommend someone talks to him about his attitude so you don't continue to lose customers. He's giving golf a bad name. This isn't some top tier country club, but he sure...

Play here a few times a year. Not a great course but always fun. Until the last time we played. Got to the course at 4:15. Short heavy guy at the desk was as unpleasant as can be. Usually greeted by older taller guy, who is great. They were kind enough to let us pay a group of five (which we didn't request). We really wanted to get 18 in and figured we would be the last ones out. After the fifth hole the Marshall told us we were killing them because we were playing slow and they wanted to go home. Told us we couldn't play through. We finish the round at 6:15 and left feeling shorted. Only reason got this high of a ranking is because we have had fun on other trips otherwise today with the lazy and indignant employees this review would have been lower. Definitely room...

Sue was absolutely terrible to us. She was disrespectful and rude, she accused us of lying about being a resident on the course (even thought we have owned a cabin on the property for almost a year). She yelled at us for whispering to each other (we were talking about how to pay) and she said that whatever we were whispering about did concern her. She yelled at us because we weren’t in the system yet. she said that she had lived there for a year and is in the system so we should too, my friend said good for you and she then accused us of saying the f-word to her when we absolutely didn’t. we were trying our best to be kind and she did not show it back....
