Dollar General — Local services in Westlake

This really isn't the best time for me to write a review for this particular Dollar Store. Although, in years past, I was a frequent shopper at this location, I rarely come here since I no longer live in Westlake. Considering my experience here tonight, I am happy that I now shop at the Dollar Store on Beglis. Tonight as my friend and I were trying to check out here, the clerk was extremely rude. He interrupted a private conversation between my friend and myself and interjected himself into it. He called us ignorant and I realize right now that everyone is under a lot of stress but he was so rude that I walked away leaving everything in my shopping cart. I really needed the medicine and pet food etc that I was attempting to buy. But as bad as I needed everything, there was no way I was going to spend my money somewhere that the customer is treated in this manner. As we were leaving, the manager on duty could clearly see how upset we were. She inquired about what the problem was and we told her how we had just been treated and she immediately got on her phone to report him. I am usually very understanding but this was the worst I have ever been treated by someone in customer service. From my experience, it isn't normal to call your customers ignorant. I can't even say that maybe age played a factor because this man was middle-aged. He clearly should have known better but he just didn't care. 2 DG locations in the tiny town of Westlake and one is great the other is this one. Very rude employees, always out of the most simple items I need. This one is slightly closer my house but after tonight I'll never come back. Internet says closes at 11pm get her 9:50 thinking I've got plenty of time. 10pm the cashier dude is yelling at me that the store is closing. Not people friendly. Saw someone try and be a good samaratin. Dollar general employee was a douchebag and the Westlake cop in line confirmed that Westlake hates everyone that is not local.
