My garment came back with discoloration and several spots so I called and was advised to come in. When I came in, the owner refused to hear my concerns and dismissed me. My garment had been brought in for dry cleaning and to have the lining repaired, as it was poorly stitched. I had only worn it a few times but once the lining frayed, I decided it needed to be repaired. When I came in about the discoloration, the owner was yelling at me the moment I walked in, telling me it smelled and she had to hold her nose. Of course it smelled! That’s why it needed to be cleaned. All dirty laundry smells. It sat with other items that needed to be dry-cleaned or altered. Anyway it’s a peacock blue garment but now it has lime green spots. This is from the chemicals they use. They aren’t stains but looks like a lightening or bleaching of the dyes. And there is residue from the chemicals. I just brought to another cleaner and they confirmed it is from the chemicals. I have never been treated so badly by a business in my life. I wasn’t even asking for my money back or anything. She was so dismissive and nasty and insulting. She pinched her nose and said she couldn’t breathe while fixing the lining. Do you have dirty clothes that smell good? Ridiculous. Whether or not it smelled, the garment was blue with no discoloration. It just needed cleaning and the lining repaired. I’ve spent hundreds at this business on alterations and cleaning. And now I will take my business elsewhere. When customers have problems, insulting them and dismissing them isn’t good for business. Until you have a problem, you may never know the way they treat...
Read moreThere are no words to describe how awesome of a job Clothing Solutions did on my wedding dress! I bought my dress off the rack (aka as is, with all the rips, tears, missing beads, and musty smells) in a completely different state, and yet they really came through for me. Though I bought it in NC (J Majors Bridal), I was in town since I had planned to get married in FL. Long story short, I not only came to them with a challenge dress...I also came pregnant. At the time of the wedding I was 23 weeks pregnant, which meant many alterations (I probably went in for fittings 3-4 times). They were always super excited to see me, willing to help in my pregnant state, and didn't spill a word to anyone (since it was a secret until the wedding). Our only concern was with the actual dress itself, and not the alterations. Though beautiful, Martina Liana dress #840 has some harsh beadings in places that make it self-destructive with the mesh. However, you can't tell in any pictures whatsoever, so I'm ecstatic with my choice of dress & alterations!
Oh, and they didn't charge me an arm & leg to alter, hem, bustle, steam (and the cathedral veil too) and anything else we did! Overall, I think I ended up paying $300ish, including everything. Considering David's Bridal & other places gave me an estimate of significantly more,...
Read morei will never use this company again for alterations. i brought a dress in to have padding replaced and just a bit taken in off the top. i go in to pick up the dress and there are two pairs of padding in it. when asked about it , the lady stated we never spoke about taking the original padding out and proceeded to imply it was my fault. finally she takes it back to have the original padding taken out. when she hands it back there is a line going across the front of the dress which i initially thought was a snag. again, said it was from my bracelets (i had a hair tie around my wrist). i get it home because im done wasting my breath. my husband realizes that "snag"is attached from the inside of the dress. he takes it up to the store. she examines it. agrees its their fault and proceeds to now blame it on the material. if they are not experienced enough to deal with whatever kind of delicate material this was they shouldnt have touched the dress. now the dress is ruined and i just wasted money on something i can no longer wear because of THEIR mistake. not mine, not my "bracelet", and not the materials mistake, but theirs. the hospitality is really lacking with these employees. take your garments here at...
