My quest for a new cafe this morning led me to this highly-rated spot via Google. The great reviews and my familiarity with the safe and clean neighborhood set high expectations. As I stepped inside, though, the atmosphere was strikingly different from what I anticipated. It was as if every eye turned to me, making me feel as if something was amiss with my appearance, despite my casual yet neat attire of sneakers, black jeans, and a clean white sweater. This initial, rather awkward, personal impression made me wonder if it was because I didn't fit a particular demographic, perhaps not appearing to be a first-language Spanish speaker.
Approaching the counter, I encountered further communication barriers. My simple request for a menu was met with a silent point. When I clarified that I couldn't see it, he pointed again, still without speaking. I genuinely wished for a verbal response, any words that could clarify what he was trying to convey. It was only after a more meticulous scan of the counter that I spotted a QR code, which I then had to confirm was indeed the menu access point with another question, answered by a simple nod. My attempt to connect further, asking for favorite items on the menu, was met with a shrug—a clear sign that no suggestions or conversation would be offered. Resigned, I ordered something and found a seat.
Despite these frustrating interactions, the quality of the offerings was undeniable. My chai latte was perfectly hot, and the cheese Danish, while not overly sweet, was a delicious and fitting accompaniment. The interior design of the restaurant is quite pleasing, contributing to a relaxing environment that would be lovely for casual meetings or a coffee with friends. However, potential visitors should be aware that the space is quite loud, making it less than ideal for business discussions where quiet conversation is paramount, as there doesn't seem to be any sound-dampening in place. While the delicious latte and Danish, along with the pleasant ambiance, were positives, the uncommunicative service from the counter staff left a significant mark. For this reason, I would likely only frequent this establishment again if I were already in the immediate area, and I doubt I would make a special trip to patronize it...
Read moreSorry to say but one of the worst cups of coffee ive had. Taste and texture of the backwash you clean the group head and filter with.
Was excited to see such a nice machine when i walked in, but slowly began to worry.
Barrista burned someones milk laughing behind the counter not paying much attention. I guess coffees just too easy to make.
I should have listened the reviews pointing out that if you want a simple coffee youre not gonna have a good time. People ordering the pistachio milkshake seemed happy but again they werent there for coffee.
Partner and i had an iced latte with 4 shots, an americano, no sugar in either. And a plain croissant.
Croissant was ok collapsed quickly save for the sugar washed shell.
The quality of the shots pulled in either coffee was just abysmal. Extraction was barely there, hardly even sour and under. Just water passing through a non existent puck. In both drinks. I dont even know how to review it further.
Very very depressing.
The cashier was friendly enough and the vibe was i guess nice.
All in all we walked out after a couple of sips.
Just have coffee at home. Or starbucks. Or dunkin. Or grab a bottled coffee from the grocery. I don't want to be rude but this was not...

This place is such a hidden gem. By day, it’s a warm, inviting coffee shop that serves some of the best specialty drinks I’ve had in a while. Don’t leave without trying the pistachio cappuccino or the lavender cappuccino if you’re into unique flavors. The iced mocha latte is also a solid choice, especially on warmer days. Pair your drink with one of their paninis or indulge in a flaky Nutella croissant, you really can’t go wrong.
The vibe is laid-back and cozy, with a mix of comfy seating and great lighting, perfect for catching up with friends or getting lost in a book. The staff are super friendly, always welcoming you with a smile and making you feel right at home.
But the real surprise? At night, this café transforms into a karaoke lounge, and it’s so much fun. The energy shifts from chill to electric, and whether you’re a performer or just there to cheer people on, it’s impossible not to get swept up in the good vibes. Coffee by day, karaoke by night, it’s the best of both worlds.
Highly recommend checking it out, whether you’re craving a midday caffeine fix or looking for a fun,...
