Camp Sherrye on the Coosa — Local services in Wetumpka

Out of all the camp sites I have been too, this one was by far the absolute worst. The owner and his thug of a son-in law are rude, disrespectful, and hostile towards my family and I over a small misunderstanding of us being in the wrong site. Both spots were side by side so would have cost the exact same amount. They advertise having a kayak ramp that is washed out unkept and about a 10 ft drop down rocks making getting a kayak in and out pretty dangerous. The son in law who is the grounds keeper but tells everyone he’s the owner is very hostile and disrespectful when he approached my family and I about being in the wrong spot, banging on the window with my mother sitting right in the seat, never introducing himself, not getting information about our stay and just came accusing us of over staying and trying to start a fight. When I asked who he was his only response was “I’m the owner” when I tried to speak with the owner about his son in law, he quickly became equally hostile, and defensive of his family refusing to even listen to what I was telling him and pretty much calling me a liar because he “knew his son in law and his character.” This place isn’t worth your money and specially isn’t worth being treated in...

STAY AWAY!!!!!! We live full time in an RV, stay at hundreds of campgrounds and this is the WORST experience we’ve ever had!!! The owners son in law goes around harassing people for the littlest thing and driving around taking pictures of you and your RV!!! This guy is EXTREMELY rude and disrespectful. My husband left a review of the issues we had up until this post and the next day he got into my husbands face about half of our rug being on the grass when he has seen it multiple times (the other times he came banging on our door). When my husband said he can be nicer about it, he told him he will escort us off the property. There are multiple reviews saying the same thing below about this guy with the owners saying “he does not reflect our values” but they are LYING and in on it!! If you guys care so much about the damn grass then don’t own an RV park! Mark my words, this will be the worst stay you ever have and will ruin whatever relaxing trip you were...

Wow.. SAVE YOURSELF. We tried to stay here for 2 weeks but didn’t make it. We are a little family of 3 with a 6month old. Every 2 or 3 days, the landscaper, who says he’s the owner but isn’t would come BANGING on our door and yelling about something and harassing us. First was my tires were too close to the grass, next time was my dog was sleeping outside on a leash, and third time was we had a rug down. During the third time, I asked him to be more respectful. He then Called the cops and had us escorted off the property. He is very insecure and overly sensitive (will make more sense when you see him) and takes it out on the people at his campground.
