Very bad bussines practice . They charged us 800$ for a delivery fee saying the dealer is an hour from them and the first time they went to pick up the part they got miscommunication with freightliner and the part wasn’t ready and we still should pay for that . Their mechanic on the other note said that they go to get parts at all times and when the part is ready they will just get it . We didn’t got any warring that we would be robbed 800$ for a part delivery. After we left the truck is shutting down the entire time and now we need to bring jt to another shop to fix it properly…
Reply on the owners response: We are not trying to badmouth any bussines or person but just to share our experience at the current repair shop. The owner stated that we ordered the part ourself which is completely false but what happened they told us at first that they couldn’t find the part that day anywhere available but the best they could find it would be in the next days.We called at the local Freightliner dealer and freightliner told us that they got the part available at the moment and can be picked up right away and the price on the part for the OEM part was significantly lower (500$) than their aftermarket part that their mechanic suggested which at that moment was a big red flag that we found the part with one phone call and available at the moment. They were supposed to get the part installed few hours later but when we called their mechanic around the end of the day for update, he apologized that actually they couldn’t get the part today and in the morning they will get it.In the morning we called the mechanic and he told us that the shop owner is at freightliner to pick up parts for other customers and can pick up our part but our part is not programed and will be ready i couple of hours. At the early afternoon they got the part and the mechanic got it installed in less than 10 mins. When we got the Bill we were shocked. Between part and labor we got charged around 3300$ for a repair that usually is around half of that but what took our attention was when we asked them why they got so much in Labor when it takes 10 minutes to do the repair so we expected to get charged an hour or 2 , they responded that they actually are charging 800$ for a part delivery or 4 hours with 200$ per hour. I asked to speak with a manager because that didn’t made any sense and the lady responded that she is owner and actually the ordered the part and when they went to pick up the part it wasn’t ready and because of that they went second time to pick it up!Their charge was totally made up and doesn’t make any sense. Once the truck left the truck is shutting down the entire time and doesn’t idle and we need to go to another repair shop to fix the settings. We tried to call them next day couple of times because our truck was passing from that area again so they can fix the truck properly but they were not answering our calls. I have been in the industry for more than a decade but have never seen anyone charging 800$ for a part deliver that usually is included in the price at local repair shops or when the repair happens on the road we have been charged for a parts delivery many time but its always been reasonable....
Read moreThe people here are very nice, but they are understaffed, way behind, and disorganized.
They let me borrow some caging bolts free of charge to get my trailer towed back to them.
While I appreciate the customer service, it’s no substitute for good work in a timely manner. And their customer service is the main reason why this is not a 1 star review. That and the fact that at least I know they did not charge me for a bunch of BS work like some shops might do. They seem to be honest at least.
I dropped off my trailer 3 months ago and was told they wouldn’t get to it for a week, but it took 3 months. They charged me for 4 hours of work in that 3 months. They were supposed to completely refurbish the trailer and check everything on it. They had a big list that I filled out for them so I was expecting to have a lot of work done on it.
A couple weeks after dropping off the trailer, I had also called and asked to schedule my truck to go in to be worked on. We set a date for the next week. I called the day before and they acted like they didn’t even know that the truck was scheduled. Then the man who I talked to told me to bring it when the trailer was done. Which, again, ended up taking 3 months, so I never brought the truck to them.
Update: We brought our trailer to someone else to reinspect all the work because we did not trust their 4 hours of work to be sufficient on a trailer that we thought needed a lot more work.
The mechanic said all the trailer bearings were almost bone dry, therefore they never even inspected the bearings, which was supposedly already done here. There’s more, but I’ll...
Read moreThe truth is they are a team of incompetents. I took my truck on a tow truck that they sent. 1 that the problem was the radiator, I told them to replace it. Two days later they said that it is not possible to fix the radiator, and that it had to be new but that it would take 3 more days. My boss sent it from Houston TX and it arrived the next day, the people at the workshop didn't like it very much. It took 8 hours to replace a radiator. They were paid $1800.00 for that service, the tow truck was another expense. The truck continued to overheat, according to them the temperature gauge was false. They forced me to leave. and leaving at exit 4 of I81 it overheated and turned off. They arrived and without turning on the computer, tricked the engine temperature sensor. for me to leave. and what they did was leave me there. The truck continued with the same problem, in addition to the fact that the cardan bar was poorly assembled and began to vibrate and a screw that held the crosshead broke. I had to go to another shop exposing my engine to a costly problem. With 250k repaired an engine in very good condition. These people are irresponsible and bad people. They knew that the truck had problems because they delivered it like that. I can honestly tell you to refrain from...
