Gun shop is top notch! Mike knows more than John but John fishes muskie so he a great guy too. If you are looking for a small town gun shop this is it.

Update 12/16/24 First congrats to Mike for being salesman of the year! Knowledge, drive and personality is what it takes to achieve these awards. I'm not even sure what I was looking for when I stepped into the store today. Mike suggested a few guns and showed me the new line up he had in stock. It is true, the owner did not have it 20 years ago. Can't expect new owners to make true on a promise THEY didn't make. Only place I go for guns and archery. I'll look around and buy it from Holtens. Gun prices are almost always cheaper than big box stores. They don't push you to buy things. They take the time to work with you on what you want. Not many small time shops around, the customer service in the ones left is...

I was told resizing was free by an employee since we bought our wedding rings at Holton's twenty years ago. Then when we went to pick it up we were presented with a $40.00 bill. The owner said he didn't own it twenty years ago so would not honor it. Do not trust...
