Hidden Gardens Nursery & Tea — Local services in Whitehouse

Today I had the absolute pleasure of taking my parents to lunch at Hidden Gardens Nursery & Tea House. They’ve been wanting to try this place for quite sometime now and today seemed like the perfect day.

If you haven’t been yet, it’s a peaceful little spot in Bullard, Tx. Not only do they serve some amazing food, but they have an absolutely massive selection of beautiful plants and flowers. They even have a little gift shop inside as well.

Upon walking in, we were politely greeted and shown to our table. I called ahead and made a reservation. Our waitress Kaytlyn was very friendly and went over their specials for the day. She also took our drink order. She came back a few moments later with our drinks and we placed our order.

I couldn’t decide between 2 different sandwiches, so I combined the best of both worlds. I ordered the turkey, bacon, and provolone, but I added the basil pesto and avocado from another sandwich. I also got a side of ranch, seeing as it’s homemade and taste incredible. My sandwich came with a salad and I chose the caesar, seeing as I really enjoy their dressing. It’s different than most caesar dressings I’ve had🤷🏼‍♂️

My parents ordered the Daisy, which is a lunch for 2. It includes a sandwich each of your choice on a croissant & choice of soup, side salad, or potato chips, dessert of the day, and tea or coffee.

They chose 2 desserts and I ordered a 3rd. We got the pecan pie, buttermilk pie, and the Magnolia Delight (4 layer dessert with a pecan cream cheese crust, chocolate pudding, whipped cream, and a drizzle of chocolate on top.

Everything was excellent. Both my parents and myself enjoyed everything. I highly recommend checking out their nursery as well while you’re there. I believe they’re doing a BOGO special during the month of July on quite a few of their plants...

Me and my husband just left from lunch and to say we are disappointed would be an understatement. The serving size for the soup was disappointing for how much it costs (plus it was cold), the service was no good (we stood there waiting to be seated for several minutes, waited to have our order taken for several minutes, our waitress was rude to us, and she never came back by to check on us or refill our drinks). There was a couple that came in and waited for probably 15min to be waited on before they just finally got up and left after the waitress acknowledged a group that came in after the couple first. Then we saw a lady that was trying to check out stand at the counter for, not joking, probably 10min before anyone came by to charge her bill. We had a large group of ladies and every one thoroughly enjoyed our experience here, even our teen-ager!!! They were set up and ready for us. It was so beautiful! Our server was so sweet and very professional. I tried their Hidden Gardens Special tea, the Tropical Magnolia salad, and the Magnolia dessert. It was all delicious! They have a variety of teas both hot and cold. They have a variety of salads, sandwiches, soups, and desserts to choose from. They have a small, boutique gift area with essential oils, hand crafted soaps and more. The garden was amazing with a swing, a waterfall, and a gazebo. Several of us walked through the greenhouse. They had so many beautiful plants for sale and their greenhouse area is open from early spring to late fall. They have a large outdoor dining area as well. We were never rushed or anything.
