Good as always... just needed a little more seasoning on the fish tacos and the fajitas.

I went in and it was dead, and the bus boy didn't know wether to greet me or not! Finally he came over and said sit anywhere, first I sat down in a booth and thought I was going to fall through, so I moved I sat down in a chair with torn seat at first then moved to another chair that didn't have any rips or tears, when he came back with chips and salsa asked if he was going to be my server, no I'm the bus boy, ok I thought well is there a server? Anyway long story short the server Angel, was nice and he brought exactly what I ordered but I wasn't impressed! The frozen margarita was lacking any real flavor no lime garnish or drink napkin! The chips were pretty good, they're the thick kind, tried one with the tomato sauce and pushed it over to the side of the table and thought they call that salsa? The menu seemed a bit pricy and I was in a hurry so I thought I'll just order simple and fast. The guacamole was the strangest I've ever seen before, it was served on a plate which covered the whole thing and it was runny, thin, and lacking zero flavor! No garnishments either... I ordered a couple flour tortillas, and I was served 3 burnt ones and all I could smell or taste was the burnt bottoms and tops. Didn't even eat all of the first one, so tried another just to see if it tasted the same....it did. Guys I am not usually this critical, but gosh for the $15. I spent including a small tip I decided I wouldn't ever go back. I still can't get over how bad the tortillas tasted and the runniest Guac I've ever seen! Plus having zero flavor! "Rita" she sure needs a lot of help too! Come on El Conquistador, you can do better!! I drove away thinking well I just...

The food is pretty good here, but the service can be kind of slow at times despite the waitress usually just sitting at a table. The "salsa" is basically just spicy tomato sauce.

Update: I think I ate at this restaurant for the last time! Despite it not being very busy at the time I arrived, I waited several minutes to be seated and I eventually just grabbed a menu and seated myself.. When I received my drink, I had to ask for a straw, and when I received my food, I had to ask for a fork.. The food is ok, but certainly not the best Mexican food I have ever had. When I was full I wanted a to go box and I sat there for several minutes before once again I had to just do it myself and go get a to go box. I put my food in the to go box and at this time I still have not received the check, so I just walked up to the cash register and told them I am ready to pay. During this entire time there were workers just sitting at a table doing nothing like they normally do... This has to be the absolute worst service I have ever received at a restaurant! I will not be...

Everytime I drive by, the parking lot is always full. So I decided to treat my dad to dinner. I can not explain the experience we had. He ordered the steak guisado, and it came out looking and tasting like Chinese stir fry. I ordered the beef enchiladas with chili on top. The chili was very odd tasting, not like your standard tex-mex chili. We ordered the guest and it was very heavy on the chicken bouillon flavor. My kids refused to eat it. I hate to sound ugly, but this was hands down the worst Mexican restaurant that I have ever eaten at. So you can imagine my surprise when I got the bill and it was over $70. I don't foresee us ever going back. If you are thinking about trying this place, you would be so much better off just going to Jalapeno tree. If I could give this place a half star, I would. So so...
