Auburn Hills Golf Course — Local services in Wichita

Auburn Hills is a beautiful Golf Course with terrible customer service. My 79 year old grandfather is a an active senior who up until this past September enjoyed playing golf at this establishment each Wednesday with his league. Unfortunately after returning to his car on 9/17/16 he discovered that his vehicle had been vandalized by the tires being intentionally cut. This incident was brought to the attention of Michael Solomon who was spoken to by phone and also received the police report in person on 9/15/16. It’s very disappointing that it’s now 11/10/16 and my grandfather hasn’t received a phone call from anyone…so it makes me think…is Auburn Hills a safe place for seniors? Does Auburn Hills care about their members or is revenue their only concern? My grandfather is not only a senior but a United States Veteran, who deserves at least, a follow up call. I played this course recently for a charity, resilient warrior by Rainer Arms. The course is really good and has the right set up between par fours and fives with a splash of water hazards on par threes. Trees are good for shade but not my golf balls......

The greens are extremely well kept and the sand traps are nicely done. Now the fairways, they are robust and can fool the player into a bad lay so play them smartly. The whole setup is so well done you'll fly through the 18 and be back for more.

Sidenote, like so many other courses you'll need a set of clubs for each player, NO SHARING. However, you can rent there. Beer carts drive around but only take cash and no ATM on site.

First of all, the course is pretty nice. Unfortunately the rental carts are not so nice. My wife and I fell victim to the aging golf carts this weekend, when the golf cart's straps loosened themselves and dumped one of our golf bags on two occasions. Both of our nice sets of clubs now have horrible scuffs and the club wouldn't offer to do anything for us (not even a free bucket of balls or free round). At least they wrote down which cart we used so they can fix the straps so this doesn't happen again... Shaking my head...

UPDATE: I was contacted within a few days about this review. The city of Wichita contacted me, and compensated us with a round of golf and cart...
