From the moment I stepped through the door at Cape Fear Collectibles I was truly amazed. I am old enough to remember when stores like Radio Shack, Model and Hobby Shops, and even some Toy stores would awe and inspire the imaginations of both young and old alike. Cape Fear Collectibles has captured that same feeling offering an immense selection of game merchandise, schwag, cards and more.
As a fan of tabletop games, I was truly impressed with their selections. As a bonus they offer two spacious gaming rooms where a multitude of tabletop battles are won and lost while immersed in a family friendly atmosphere that manages to be both light-hearted and fun but exceedingly professional. It cannot be overstated how great the atmosphere is at Cape Fear Collectibles. Sam the owner was gracious enough to show me around the entire operation and every step of the way my jaw was left open. This was a truly impressive experience. Whatever I could have imagined Cape Fear Collectibles was like before arriving inside did not prepare me for what I found-all expectations were beyond exceeded.
When I finally departed, I had the feeling that I had known Sam and the staff at Cape Fear Collectibles for years already. So, when I walked out the door it was definitely a "see you later" and not a definite "goodbye". For my friend Sam and all the staff at Cape Fear Collectibles for creating a safe environment and nerd haven in the best ways...

It's always a good day to talk with people who are as passionate about the same things you are; it's even better when they also love what they're doing because it involves those things!
The store is clean; they have two sweet arcade machines with about 4k old school games!
They have over a dozen tables dedicated to tabletop games like Magic the Gathering, D&D, and any other festive time with pen and paper a person or group of people would want to play.
They also have an impressive collection of collectibles throughout the store; it is highly recommended to check it out if you're near the area. If not for anything else but what they do on Magic the Gathering release dates! It's a...
Read moreTonight was my first time at Cape Fear Collectibles and I can tell I'll be back soon. There's a TON of play space with no fees, which makes meeting up with friends easy.
The atmosphere is friendly and easygoing, with plenty of helpful people who you can tell really care about gaming. Plus, because CFC has a dedicated discord server, so you can find others who like the same kind of games (MTG, flesh & blood, board games, RPGs, war games, minis, and more) and let a group of similarly-interested folks know when you'll be around.
The one staff member I met was incredibly helpful, informative, and welcoming, even going out of his way to explain the play mechanics of flesh & blood while I was waiting for a friend to arrive.
With lots of room to play and friendly people, you can tell that CFC is already successfully building a community, even...
