Elias's has the best marinated steak and chicken around. They have so many homemade items from chicken pot pie to salsa's and dips. The variety of food items that they have is amazing , they literally have something for everyone. Never mind that they sell every day needs such as milk , toilet paper , chips. They carry a little bit of everything!! I've been a devoted customer since 2002 however my family has been going there since the 1960's Elias is a true Wilmington staple. If your not from the area and want some amazing steaks, chicken or out of this world hamburgers and I'm not talking about just a run of the mill patty these hamburgers are stuffed with cheeses, mushrooms and so much more you should definitely take a ride and come and see what this family owned and run country store had to offer. The staff is amazing the owner is almost always in the store and his sister is always there she's the cook and her food is amazing we go there at least 2 times a week if not more. They also have a nice selection of wine , beer and alcohol. In the past they didn't sell a particular wine I liked and they went out of their way to find a store that had some and even offered to order some so they would have it but I declined their offer because I might drink once or twice a year. So they are very helpful and just the nicest people ever. Thank you Elias country store owners and staff for always going above...
Read moreOn first glance I liked this store and began to adjust my travel home to shop here. They have things I want. Simple, easy, and supporting a community family business instead of a "Big Box Store" It is unfortunate that I was treated with such a level of rudeness and arrogance one evening. Another employee there took some pleasure in the rude treatment. I finished my shopping, now cut short and paid for my purchase. I mentioned the treatment to the cashier and commented it would be very difficult to come back. Later I called the store asking to talk to the owner hoping we could resolve in a positive way this wrinkle. The young lady on the phone was clearly uncomfortable as if someone were coaching her comments. I never did hear from the owner. I am suspicious the rude treatment was by a family member and there is no accountability. So here we are. How does anyone trust a business such as this again? We all might think local businesses would be grateful for loyal customers enough that, there would be an acknowledgement of the situation and a resolution. But no. There is no trust available here. A business such as this can not be trusted. Ignoring the obvious is bad character at it's heart. I wish...
