Scam Alert!!!! Please be warned! I signed up for a 6 month contract for a personal goal I was trying to reach. I was put with Jennifer as a trainer. Right away I knew it was not a good fit. She would give me a 30 minute workout which I used as a warm-up because it was way too easy. I would often leave Redefined Fitness to go to my main gym and get a good workout in. Then Jennifer had surgery and l was left to workout on my own. The owner, Donte, would often leave me to workout in the gym alone. He would disable the door from opening automatically and get in his car and leave me in the gym by myself with no employee on the property. Also, several times, I would go when the gym was supposed to be open but it was closed. It was frustrating because I drive 30 minutes one-way. Donte took over as my trainer but would often forget about my training sessions or double and triple book clients. Every other word out his mouth was about money!! Both trainers kept trying to push a meal-plan (for an additional fee, of course). My final session he didn't show up. (I have pictures).I sent a message to him that I wanted to cancel and he ignored me. I showed up and asked to cancel and he insisted I needed to give him 30 days notice!!! I asked for a copy of the 6 month contract I signed and he could not provide it. It's been 7 months of hell. Please don't be a victim! He will gladly take your money for no service! Ā Ā Ā Read moreI started with Redefined Fitness in August 2018. When I met with Donte, he did a full evaluation of my current state of fitness. He honestly told me most of weight loss was diet and the rest of it was exercise. I appreciated his candidness especially coming from the owner of a gym. He assigned me a trainer. My trainer, Cedric, would train me so many days a month based on my membership. On the other days, my trainer would write out exercises for me, or I could select exercises previously done. Cedric is awesome and super supportive. In the beginning, I ebbed and flowed in my dedication to my fitness and health journey. Cedric never gave up on me. He consistently checked on me and encouraged me to come into the gym or even to walk. He asked about my eating. I have never consistently gone to a gym, but accountability and support are built into your Redefined Fitness membership. During my time with the gym, I lost 73 lbs between assessments. I have actually lost 84lbs at this point. I went down 5 sizes in clothing. People constantly compliment me on my weight loss and appearance. Besides appearance, my energy levels are through the roof. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been going to Redefined Fitness since February, and Iāve seen SUCH a change in my life. Not only do I look healthier, but I feel so much better, too. That sounds very cliche, but I have noticed that clothes fit me differently AND my mood improves after going to visit Donte and Laurie at the gym! The atmosphere is very upbeat and welcoming, and I never feel like Iām surrounded by people who intimidate me or think Iām clueless/hopeless. For the most part, Iām never in the gym with more than 6 other people working out unless the soccer team they train is there in the evening. (Some evenings, not all)
Donte is an amazing trainer, and heās always coming up with new things for me to add to my workouts. He communicates well and helps you reach whatever goal youāve set for yourself. Often times, youāll be beyond that. When I first started, I was constantly lying on the ground out of breath just trying to finish a movement, and in less than a year, Iāve already dropped the need to take breaks like that.
