Loads of equipment available; some old, but fairly clean. They even have a sauna. Sanitizer bottles and cloths are available, as well as open storage cubbies. As with any gym, I noticed that not everyone cleans their equipment, but there are gym etiquette signs posted for awareness. Front desk was mostly ok, but I had to prompt the gym policy & pricing info, and I wasn’t offered a walkthrough of the facility prior to the sign-up process. No water fountain, but they have a cooler with plastic water bottles for cheap sale. After the office closed one night, I did encounter an instance where the gym suddenly started blaring very loud explicit music (presumably an unauthorized misuse of the speakers after-hours). It was highly disruptive to my workout, but I suppose there is a trade-off between having constant supervision by staff with limited access, vs. limited supervision with 24/7 access. It only happened on one occasion.
UPDATE 1- My initial 4/5 review was followed up with a helpful Google reply by the owner, who even approached me in-person to happily address any questions or concerns I still had. In each case, I was either offered an adequate solution or a reasonable explanation.
UPDATE 2- During another visit, one of the associates demonstrated how to use a machine that I was unfamiliar with. More recently, I had issues with my key card that prevented my access to the gym (I had inadvertently missed my monthly renewal date, as I discovered at the door). I figured I’d call & maybe leave a voicemail. Despite the office being closed so late at night, they not only answered my phone call, but enabled remote unlock so I didn’t miss my workout, and allowed me to resolve my bill the next day.
Please consider this updated 5/5 review as a reflection of my positive experience. This gym truly cares about...
Read moreThis gym is incredible and my next road trip you can bet I'll be back! I'm a strength coach, bodybuilding competitor, and gym rat. I'm pretty picky when it comes to gyms. I was traveling back through Nevada to California. Due to weather and road conditions, I ended up staying in Winnemucca. Googled gyms here, and found this place. The owners wife was very sweet on the phone and they completely accommodated me, despite it being a Sunday evening. The owner Tony was so kind and took time to conversate with me and helped me get setup, not only for that day but to come back In the following day. The gym is IMMACULATE. I can honestly say I have never seen a 24 hr gym so clean. The highlight for me is the equipment. Arsenal strength, icarian, hammer strength. Gym rats dream! Only negative I can say....Battle Born is not in Cali. Lol. Thank you so much Tony for everything, I'll...
Read moreThe staff there are amazing! From sign up to replenishment shakes, They made signing up painless and fast. I belong to a very large gym back home in Georgia with all the latest and greatest equipment (Lifetime Fitness) and I will tell you that the equipment here rivals it. Even for advanced builders like myself, I found all the equipment I needed to to a great intense workout. They also had a lot of space for classes and cardio equipment which was very nice. I would HIGHLY recommend this gym for beginners all the way to bodybuilders…you’ll find everything you need here including 150 lbs dumbells. Very well run, fantastic ownership, and very...
