Visited Pabili Asian Market 2 weeks ago. Been coming here since they opened almost a year ago. It is in a very nice location in Winter Haven, lots of parking spaces and the entire store is very spacious. She has good selections filipino goods from snacks to frozen food. Her fresh baked goods are delicious. My girls are very picky when it comes to good Filipino pastries/ bread, because they have tasted the best from Califronia and Oregon. We've been in Florida for almost 3 years now and this is the only place where I can get the ube, spanish, coconut bread & pandesal that my girls said "is the closest taste to the ones that they have tried in the past and that meant so much from picky girls like them! The grocery prices are very affordable compared to other Asian stores in the area. This is our favorite " go to" place when we crave Filipino food but don't want to cook❤️. I have read a review saying that the food smelled "rotten ". Lol...Please know what you're ordering because Filipino authentic cooking uses some spices that are not for everyone specially shrimp paste. Please stop making negative comments when you didn't even know what you were ordering! Ask for samples, they do offer samples for the menu they...
Read moreWas in the area and remembered seeing a post about their recent store opening on FB. We took a quick gander while at the grocery side and found some things we normally get. They have a big space so I hope they thrive and get frequented enough to warrant them filling the shelves with more food items. Some of their prices are more than what I have paid in the past but you take what you can get when there's so few Asian stores in my area. We took a chance and sampled their Pancit and Dakdakan. I took one whiff of the pancit and knew immediately it was going to be very good and I was right. I never had Dakdakan before but was very pleasantly surprised at how good it was so we didn't hesitate to order both. The young lady at the counter was very welcoming and sweet, patiently explaining the different types of dishes laid out at their buffet table. The very reasonably priced combo meal deals are enough to make me a regular customer and I can't wait to try their other foods as well as the kakanin and other desserts next time we go to...
Read moreQuickly becoming an important fixture for the Filipino diaspora in Polk County, Pabili Asian Market is a grocery store and small-scale restaurant in one. The restaurant serves a rotating selection of traditional regional Philippine dishes cafeteria-style and is also a bustling catering service. The grocery section features primarily Filipino pantry staples, some frozen foods, and a small selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. Traditional Filipino snacks are available daily, packaged for take-away and also made-to-order. Service is friendly and obliging, though somewhat understaffed during peak times, so patience and forbearance is appreciated. The restaurant’s rotating menu is posted daily every morning on the market’s...
