Not too busy at night on a Tuesday night, but DEFINITELY a popular spot down this strip of Winter Haven. The young cashiers were visibly tired from a long shift, but still managed to keep up polite and casual conversation while waiting for us to order; God bless them. As a college student, I understand their grind and know closing shifts are tough for bustling businesses.
I do wish one of the male cashier's was a little more considerate of COVID-19 precautions. I preface my critique with the acknowledgement that all employees had their masks up, covered from nose to chin, the ONLY right and SAFE way according to the United States' Center for Disease Control (CDC) AND the United Nation's World Health Organization (WHO). I can't say the same respect for COVID-19 precautions was upheld by any of the other customers though unfortunately, but that seems to be the societal norm of people in Winter Haven. We found that ironic because the majority of people in Winter Haven are upper middle aged to elderly, definite potential victims of COVID-19.
Back to that cashier: when my girlfriend asked for a spoon, he placed it on the cash counter, probably not even thinking about the amount of germs that lay and are quickly transferred on a counter where cash and coins are exchanged, no matter how many times you disinfect.
Hey, but the three different Oreo ice cream type desserts...
Read moreDon’t let the one star rating fool you. This DQ deserves a -1000! There’s nothing but a bunch of immature, inexperienced, incompetent and disrespectful teens running (or ruining) the store. I took my family there tonight for a treat and we ended up returning the order and getting our money back. We ordered a Medium Moolatte and three medium Sundae cups with ice cream only. Two of the three sundae cups were nicely filled but the third one was tiny. I asked if they would please put more ice cream in it like the others and I was told that they go by weight and if they added more ice cream they would have to charge me more money. I asked the “acting” manager Alina why the others were different and she said they were poured incorrectly. I asked again if she would add some and again I was met with “I can but I’ll have to charge you for it”. So I handed back the order and asked for my money back. I asked her several times if she would really rather lose a sale and throw away 4 orders than please a customer and she said “Yes” and returned my money. I asked for the name of the manager or owner or someone I could contact and she gave me some bogus name and phone number. Maybe $15.15 doesn’t mean much to her because it’s not coming out of her pocket one way or the other, but to some people it means a whole lot. They lost a sale tonight and a...
Read moreWorse restaurant around the area! Never had a bad experience with DQ before and I usually go there once-twice a week, I ordered 2 4 piece baskets my house is 15mins away from the restaurant I get home & my order is incomplete & the french fries are falling apart super greasy & cold. I called the restaurant requested a manager whoever answered the phone screamed YO SOME RANDOM GIRL ON THE PHONE REQUESTING A MANAGER. Not sure what kind of respect they have for eachother, when the lady answered I explained to her about my issue about my incomplete order or my fries, all she kept saying was do you want the comments phone number I said no I want you to fix my issue, she said theres nothing I can do, thats how the fries are & i explained to her this is not the first time i buy from here, she was just absolutely no help & not even offer to go back to the store to fix my order. I absolutely will not be going back to this restaurant at all because imagine they dont even respect eachother what makes you think they would respect the customers. If I could give 0...
