I normally wouldn't post a bad review about an establishment since mistakes sometimes happen but I have given this establishment ample time to right their wrongs and have not even received a call back after multiply attempts. I would NEVER leave my animals here again. I called Wagging Tails in Wolcott, CT about the price for boarding for my 2 dogs. I was given a price and told I had to pay a 50% deposit, which I did. I called a couple days before their arrival to confirm a few things and to let them know one of my dogs has a sensitive stomach so she can only eat the food I send her with, nothing more. At the end I asked for the exact remaining balance and was given double the amount that should have been due. I was told that a mistake was made and they gave me the wrong price (yes, mistakes happen but I went with this place thinking the price was one amount then it doubled two days before I was leaving for vacation). I asked for a manager to call me-that was almost two weeks ago and I have called 4 times since with no call back. What is even worse is that I picked up my dogs and was given their stuff back-only to find out there were days that my dogs were not fed one of their meals. Neither were given their treats everyday. My older dog only received a treat 2 of the 6 days. This is unacceptable!!! How do you not feed dogs their meals? I can only pray that nothing worse was done to them in their care. They tell you that you will get photos and a report card everyday- I received 2 out of 6 days. Not only did they give false information from the start but then didn't feed them their regular meals. I am beyond livid and I would highly suggest not leaving your pets here. Then when you call the manager AGAIN, you still don't get a call back. ABSOLUTELY AWFUL!!!
Your response is 100% lies!! I was given a price for TWO dogs, not one. Furthermore, not once did I ask for a refund or credit....I simply asked for a call back! Its funny I just spoke to Joli, your manager, and was told she never received any messages or she would have called me back. So your manager is now saying she didn't get my messages, but you are saying I was called back? Probably should get your lies straight. Read moreMy experience at Wagging Tails was the most unproffessional customer experience I have ever had. I still cant believe a business is allowed to treat people this way. The owner and manager I dealt with were extremely rude and treated me as if we were all in highschool. The manager who was on duty the day we rented the pool, turned a simple misunderstanding into a confrontation in which she felt it necessary to walk away from us with no reason given, leaving us in a locked in fenced area, to return with a print out of their rules on the website, that she just printed. Never in my life has a manager left me locked in an area to print something I did not ask for, to read at me like a child. (The owner later called this patiently and professionally attempting to inform you of the rules, in an email).To make it worse the print out did not support her claim that it states no humans in the pool. It states "at the pool". This wasn't even the worst part. I called back to speak to upper management and the same manager hung up on me when I requested a way to get in touch with the owner. After I emailed the company to reach out to the owner it took multiple calls and emails over 3 weeks to get a response. The owner claims she reached out the day after i emailed first, but I have no call or email records of this and neither does she. In emails she was even more rude than the manager and told me that if I wanted to review the video of everything I claimed I could. When I agreed multiple times to this she replied that if the cops wanted to see the video, they were more than welcomed. I doubt she ever had any intention of showing this video to me, yet she offered me multiple times. She also implied cops were called that day but never confirmed it and would not tell me if they actually called them or ever called them back to say we paid that day. She was very unproffessional about it, and has yet to confirm that detail. I would not recommend using their services after experiencing how they treated me as a human, I can not imagine how they treat dogs when humans are not around to watch them. Read moreI use to to give a 5 star review. We have used Wagging Tails for years and never had an issue until now June 2018. Wagging Tails has become bigger company than they can handle. Since they moved to Wolcott and now on new on line system, I have nothing good to say. They could have killed my two cats by not showing up on dates we scheduled x1 month in advance for.
My cats went without food and water x4 days. My house and cats were a mess, as nobody there to clean litter box, they got sick many times and ate plants because they were so hungry and thirsty. They are still not right and still getting sick and act like they are always starving because they are afraid to go without food.
One call made and we were informed they had July and not June on calendar and no follow up calls received. Called second time to speak with Supervisor - who states nobody told her about this. Then Supervisor says she will call back next day, which she did not.
Nobody called to follow up to apologize or ask how our cats are, it has been 3 weeks and still no call back, that bothered me that no Supervisor followed up after 3 calls made.
Our cats are 17 and 18 years old and they could have died without food or water x4 days. Then to top it off, the pet sitter shows up on the date they had wrong in the system for July!! Nobody took the time to cancel the wrong date in system!!
I am very upset as there is no compassion or empathy. I even almost put aside that they had worker that put in wrong date because never had issues in past, but not to follow up to see how our cats are doing, show no empathy and not even cancel the incorrect date! Not only did they irritate us more by not cancelling wrong date, they had an employee missing out on job they knew before should have been cancelled.
This shows no respect. I have lost all respect for this company and will not ever use them again.
I am dissapppointed in even writing this because at one time, I gave them 5 star and was happy in the past, it is a shame that they have only grown their business, but decreased their value and respect to their customers and their pets. I will miss their pet sitter, but will not use this company Wagging Tails...
