Tap & Barrel — Restaurant in Wolcott

Went here a couple days ago for my wife's birthday, I would like to first say they have amazing burgers and fries here we absolutely LOVE the food! Anyway we sat ourselves, only table available was dirty with glasses still present (no big deal) then our waitress shows up and doesn't clean the table just removes glasses then my wife asks for a mojito and our waitress gave us the most rediculous excuss and tells my wife yeah mint doesn't grow in the winter so I cant do that (in a sarcastic manner) to which we were dumbfounded since you can buy literally almost anything in the winter at any grocery store so that was a completely unessesary remark, then throughout the night she was extremely rude to us being in such a hurry to get away from us even walking off from our table before we can even finish a sentence!, not one single time did she ask how our meal was or if we needed anything then waited 25 minutes for our check after finishing food and drinks. HOWEVER it seemed as though the locals there got the nice treatment and she was all happy with them and taking care of them in a completely different manner, then a group of young gentleman came in and sat next to us and her mood change was so obvious towards them we almost walked out because of how rediculous she was being. Honestly if it wasn't for the great food we wouldn't have stayed, we frequent the area coming from madison to bring our baby to grandparents in wolcott and every time there's an 80% chance we will go to tap and barrel (ate there at least a dozen times or more) but now my family and I will find a different restaurant that treats its customers with respect, we did absolutely nothing to this waitress at all to deserve this treatment its truly upsetting how things played out we've never experienced anything like that....

This was my first visit and this is a break down of my experience:

SERVICE - 3.5 Service was extremely slow and not very attentive at times. That seemed to be due to only having one waiter during a busy night and not fault of the hard working waiter that was working that night. The waiter we had was extremely friendly and when he wasn't running around like a mad man, was attentive to our requests.

Atmosphere - 5 Great vibe and adequate seating (bar, tables) -Having two dart boards and pool table with the juke box is awesome to have available for use. -Music was great but TOO loud at times and even when there was no music playing it seemed very noisy. I think that has to do with the acoustics of the place and maybe the metal siding on the inside walls that carries sound.

FOOD/DRINKS - 4 -Great selection of drinks, brews and food that are all reasonably priced -The bourbon burger was good and the fries are unique and tasty

Overall great place, the only complaint I had was the limited staff taking orders or Atleast being on the floor to make sure patrons were...

I had called about an issue with my salad that I had just picked up from the store. I have a sensory issue and I could not eat the cheese that they had put on to the salad. I had called and the girl at first was nice but the second I had asked if it could be complementary since They put the wrong cheese on the salad. When I asked to be put on with the manager, she had hung up the phone. When I called back and asked again she said he was busy I asked if she could ask again and she put me on hold and hold was holding the phone in her hand while she’s complaining about me on the phone to her manager, he asked me to leave a number and call back. I will not be going back given the disrespect for their customers, as well as the blonde bar tender taste testing almost ever...
