Today was a very special day, and I had ordered a cake from another bakery. Unfortunately, on the way, I almost got into a car accident and the cake was badly smashed. I was far from the bakery I purchased it from, so in desperation I called Boyer’s to see if they could help. To my relief, a wonderful lady named Lynn said she would do her best. When I arrived, she kindly took the cake even though she mentioned she was not a cake designer and worked her magic. The result was beyond my expectations: the cake looked absolutely amazing, even better than the original! I am truly grateful for Lynn’s kindness, creativity, and willingness to help me during such a stressful moment. Thanks to her, my special event was saved. Boyer’s is lucky to have such a caring employee!

Bought this for a picnic. Canoli cake. Got it out and it was moldy. Also got cole slaw the same day and we went to eat it and it was no good. Do not have my receipt, but will hesitate going there again for awhile..

I ran here at 8:50 to grab a few things after seeing online that they were open until 11pm. Turns out they forgot to update that online. Well the one cashier lady IDK skinny, red vest, SUPER FAST Speed walker.. like this lady was not playing around them corners…total manic vibes.. literally said on the loudspeaker they were closing in 5mins. About 10 seconds later she popped around the corner and said “ummm were closed” where I then apologized and said I would be out after grabbing the last 2 things on my way out. Mind you we just moved to this area and my 2 year old is at home sick and we desperately needed groceries. As I’m checking out the sweet girls up front were super kind and friendly. They said it was just changed from 11 to 9pm. Well I couldn’t find something so they told me where it was and gave me the go ahead to run back and grab it. As I was running back up front MISS CRAZY CASHIER/ SUPERVISOR LADY legitimately YELLED AT ME “WE’RE CLOSED I TOLD YOU THAT ALREADY WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!” And I said “your coworkers are literally checking me out and gave me the go ahead to grab the one thing I couldn’t find.” She was clearly livid and I heard her yelling at them as I left. I told her “thank you for reminding me where NOT to shop”. First and LAST TIME I will EVER shop at a Boyers Food Market. Totally insane. This lady should find a new job or change her shift if she’s not ok with getting stuck at work a few minutes past closing. That’s literally WHAT CLOSING SHIFT IS. I worked at Sam’s clubs for a few years as a teen and have never seen anyone speak to a customer this way. Please drug test this employee as she was very irritable and if she truly needed to leave so badly then why didn’t she? Thanks for the bad impression on my now not so cute and...

The place used to be dingy and old but after the remodel it just looks old. Like the walls are the same colors as the old plastic chairs they used when I was in Elementary school. Green and brown. Ick. But the new deli counter, the new open air bakery, and frozen section is modern and appealing and they got rid of all the worn out white metal registers. So things are much better now.

As for prices Ive heard it all. Some say this is their favorite store, others say Giant or redners are cheaper. But I only think Giant and Redners have more options. For example: Giant has like 4 or 5 different brands of mac n cheese of varying price whereas boyers only has kraft and their generic brand. But comparing prices side by side the same sorts of things they are pretty close.

As for accessibility theyre pretty decent for people in wheel chairs but they do tend to choke the aisles with displays which is quite annoying during busy times.

Another grievance I have with them is their bathrooms. There isnt a seperation of public or private bathrooms so employees have to share with customers and they are both located in the break room so if someones going number 2 while youre trying to eat... Things can be... unpleasant. This place is too small for what it tries to be...

But all in all its a nice store with nice people...

I normally have a pleasant experience here. I live nearby and frequent it often. My only complaint is they lock their doors a half hour before they close. I don't get it. This has happened before, but an employee opened the door from the inside to let me in. They advertise that theyclose at 11:00 pm. I got there at 10:30 and the doors wouldn't open. I looked an employee right in the eye through the glass and she wouldn't let me in or even signal to me as to what was happening. I needed 3 things. If you're going to lock the doors a half hour before you actually close then I think you should advertise that you close at the time you lock your door. I'll buy my 3 things elsewhere. Very frustrating. In the time it took to write this while sitting in my car, I've seen 2 other potential customers locked out before the advertised...
