Fame RV Center — Local services in Woodcock Township

I wanted to share the experience we had with Derrick and Fame RV. From the first call I made and spoke with Derrick it felt like I was doing business with someone with integrity. Since we live 2 hours from the dealership I contacted Derrick the day of our visit prior to pulling out of the driveway to make sure the used trailer we were interested in was still there. When we arrived, Derrick was with another customer but was told by another staff member we could go look at the trailer. We were pleasantly surprised to see all the units open, with the slides out and the prices clearly marked on each one. We checked out the unit we were interested in and while it had all the features we wanted, it seemed just a little too used for us. We looked at some of the other units briefly then decided that we would pass since we weren't that impressed with what we had come to see. As we were walking back to the building Derrick met us in the parking lot. He asked what we thought and we were honest with him and mentioned the things that were turning us off, then we took another look inside the unit with him not expecting anything further than a "well thanks for stopping in" farewell. As we were walking back to our car Derrick asked what it would take for us to change our minds and we pointed out some of the things we weren't pleased with. He then caught us off guard and he basically said he would take care of everything, including replacing the tires and stove with new ones. Derrick worked with us to keep the price within the range we were willing to pay without any add ons or fees and it was completely seamless from that moment on. He even told us that once he had the unit all ready to go that if we came back and wasn't completely happy with everything that we were not under any obligation to purchase. As it turned out, we were completely happy with the unit and true to his word all things were done just as he said they would be. We even had a complete walk around and demo of how everything worked. Derrick and all the staff that took care of us were very friendly and helpful including the technician who had to install a trailer brake just as he was going to lunch and did so in a very professional manner. So, thank you to Derrick and staff for making this a great and appreciative, the way it should be, experience!! We've shared it with several of our friends as well as new people we've met since we started our new camping adventures.

I gave this location one star only because I don't know how to rate this RV center any lower. I recently visited their service department and was immediately greeted by a friendly, smiling individual. After explaining my problem, hydraulic jacks would not retract, we engaged in a conversation and she immediately provided several suggestions and called a tech to the office to continue the conversation. Unfortunately, he was speaking to a customer and never made it to the service window because the service manager appeared, listened to my problem and proceeded to print several pages from the owners manual for which I keep a complete copy on my phone and had reviewed the documents several times. When asked if it was possible for someone to come out to the campground and take a look, he immediately went into a defensive posture and stated that there was only one on-the-road tech and it wouldn't be possible to schedule a visit for 3 to 4 weeks. Body language speak volumes and his was basically don't bother me. I'm busy. My emergency was my problem, and mine to solve without assistance from Fame RV Center. Maybe they should rename the place - Shame RV Center. Thankfully, the tech from my service center and I were able to problem-shoot the issue and resolve the jack issue...

Today we bought our new Keystone Bullet Crossfire. We had the most amazing experience at Fame RV. Derek was so knowledgeable and gave us such a great deal on our new RV! Jason walked us through and answered all our questions, sometimes twice. He made several suggestions that were very useful and we wanted to move ahead with and they did them immediately as we are leaving on vacation soon. Last, but certainly not least is Shannon! She was awesome! We have gone to several RV dealers in the past but we will never shop anywhere else in the future! Everyone we interacted with was pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful! Well done, Fame RV! You’re the best! You have made us very happy campers!
