Went to Stater Brothers this morning to run errands get groceries. Put my ATM card in their machine the first schools machine it took $900 so I asked for a manager. Everybody was slow and getting me some help so I started screaming for help finally came over and told me that they didn’t have anything to do with the ATM so at this point I get really irritated they give me a number to call between Cash App the bank, the ATM the store people talking about. I’m gonna go get my money for 45 days. This is unbelievable stater brothers already don’t provide quality food at this location. This location is almost like a convenience store they don’t have fresh bread the produce is full with pesticides, I will never shop at the store again. Once the police came before the police came. One of the employees started to antagonize me then called the police on me. I’ve been going to the store for two years because it’s convenient for me and close enough from my house, but there’s always something going on at this store and I don’t think they appreciate my business so I will not be back and I hope corporate see this and see that their employee made things worse. The ATM that they have in there is constantly out of order. They didn’t have a sign on it when the Brinks truck came, they did find my $900 stick in one of the trays but would not give it back to me, so I will be suing them in civil court. Come tomorrow don’t go to this location no help, no courtesy, no good...
Read moreMadison was a very nice cashier and a cashier who worked the night shift @ 10pm March 26th 2019 with reddish brown hair. However, most, not all, of the workers are unacceptably passive, robotic and unable to connect/communicate on a friendly, kind and welcoming basis. Many of my trips to this location was very unwelcoming, relative to the Mary store, the Mary store employees are AMAZING and it is really sad and unacceptable that the van Buren location atmosphere is unwelcoming. I go in, get my groceries, go to the check stand and basically talk to a monotone robot (no offense to the people just referring to the attitude that stater bros allows), and get pushed out. I go to the Mary store and the cashier gets me out fast and at the same time knows my entire life story, knows what I ate 6 months ago, knows about exam scores, school updates, great great grandmothers dog's name and recalls all that the next time I go in. Of course I'm being hyperbolic but it is the type of care and friendliness I wish and hope the van Buren location...
Read moreWhile the store itself is clean and the checkers are friendly. I can no longer come here when I need my meat. I am truly floored how rude the majority of the butchers are when asked to cut your meat in a special way. I have always thought that that was the job of the butcher. Today I went in and asked for rib eye to be cut in thin slices. The young kid politely told me he wasn’t good at cutting that type of meat that way and asked the woman butcher. She was so rude and impolite and had multiple comments about what I wanted that I left and went to the Mary street one instead. It is farther from my home but this type of service in the meat department has happened many times at van buren both to myself and husband and I would much rather be treated with respect and drive a little further to a store with a meat department that has no problem doing...
