Last summer my family moved into town and needed to landscape our yard. I don't have much knowledge of plants and was leaning on the expertise of the staff.
I made it clear I wanted plants that would last from year to year and would be hardy enough to thrive in our local weather. The staff hand selected the plants for me and I trusted they would do great. (We spent a ton of money on plants there)
When I was making my purchase I was informed the plants had a year warranty so I just needed to bring them back with the receipt and exchange them.
Fast forward through the winter, several plants had died and I needed to replace them. I save the receipts, packed up the dead plants and came to the nursery.
I was informed I was wrong about the warranty and it was pointed out to me in the fine print of the receipt it only covered trees and shrubs. I had several shrubs but they were not the kind that were covered under the warranty.
I was frustrated the staff sold me on hundreds of dollars of plants that were not hardy for this weather and now I have spend hundreds more to replace six months later.
I trusted them to help me make good selections to fit our needs and was so disappointed with the attitude I was met with today. I felt bullied and stupid for making the wrong purchases. They did refund me on three plants which was kind of an insult considering how much I actually spent there.
I had planned on purchasing more plants there today but there was no way I was asking them for help after being treated this way. I googled and found A&R Nursery just down the road in Woodland tucked away. They do mostly commercial business but they were helpful and had a much larger selection of plants. We were able to get everything we needed there to replace our dead plants. We will be shopping at A&R Nursery for our plants...
Read moreI was so excited to purchase 14 trees from the nursery for my project as I heard of their excellent customer service, knowledge of their inventory. I spent $700 and ordered their delivery service. On Monday I received a call asking if delivery could take place next day on Tuesday. I said yes and that I would be home all day. At 2:30 on Tuesday afternoon no one had come and I had received no call. I called the nursery and inquired if they were still coming. The driver called me back and said he would be there in a half an hour. When he arrived and opened the back of the truck all the trees had been knocked over and jostled about. Half of them were severely damaged. I called the nursery while the delivery driver was still here. It took me 10 tries to get someone to answer the phone and then there was no one in authority there that could help. The driver left the trees and took off. I phoned the nursery on Wednesday again asking to speak to somebody about the situation no one was available. But I was assured that Brian the manager would call me back. I never heard anything at all on Wednesday from Brian. On Thursday I went into the nursery to speak with someone again Brian was available and there was no one else there that could help me. I was assured however that Brian would call me by Friday afternoon. Again Friday came and went and I received no phone call or resolution to this problem. Very disappointing I wouldn't spend my money there, they're unreliable and their customer...
