My family and I were in town fron Rhode Island visiting our friends who have a Ranch in Gate, OK. We wanted to bring home meat back to the East Coast, because frankly we can't get the same quality beef back home. I went to Ray's on a recommendation from the rancher we stayed with. Upon arrival, I brought 2 yeti coolers and met with Chad, the owner of Ray's. I explained to Chad that I was interested in having some steaks custom cut. Without hesitation, Chad had his staff cut me fresh steaks to my chosen thickness off a fresh side of beef. I watched through the glass windows as his staff filled my order with no notice. (I was a walk in customer who had 40 T-Bone, 40 Fillets, and 20 Ribeyes cut). The women at the counter ( I didn't get her name) was super friendly and accommodated my request to seperate my orders, as one cooler was for my friend in NYC. Chad vacuum sealed each steak individually and took great care to make sure I was happy with the product. I would recommend Ray's meat market to anyone. I'm sure you'll find the staff...
Read moreBeen coming here for years. Zero complaints ever. I drive in from just South of Guthrie to pick up a side 'o beef every 18 months or so and it's always been a good trip. Cut orders are correct and retained for the next order. If there are questions about cuts and what they are they take the time to educate the customer. I know I've asked more than my share of questions and was never made to feel like I was taking up someone's time.
The packing is on point and the sealing is well done. I think we've had maybe one or two bad seals over the course of many years?
They have freezers in the lobby for walk ins. Need a ribeye? They got em cut and ready to go for you. Support a local business and do this instead of buying the subpar stuff from the coolers at the big box stores.
Since I started buying direct from the farmer and pick up at the processor I've not bought beef in large quantities for my freezer...
Read moreVery very disappointed, we are a large family and we raised the bull and pig ourselves, we spent a lot of time and money raising them to provide us with healthy meat. This is not our first time, done this along time. Now we have thrown away probably 70 percent of the meat from both. The pork was double bagged and not properly vacuum sealed. The beef idk what happened, we have had to crock pot all the meat, including steaks just to eat it. I have asked multiple farmers to look at it and get their opinion and they all said "that's not your cow". This has been very hard on my family. I hate leaving negative reviews but I really would hate another family like us to experience...
