Montsweag Flea Market — Local services in Woolwich

Have been going to flea mkt for 7 years and enjoyed it. We’re moving& have odds & ends that we would ordinarily donate to Goodwill. Decided we would rather GIVE small items to various vendors at flea mkt that we know are there week after week trying to make a few bucks. Were just thrown off the property but a man who said he was security with threats of calling the sheriff, accused of selling things out of our trunk!! We explained we weren’t selling anything, just giving things to vendors who pay money for a booth and would appreciate having a few more items to sell. As we explained, he wouldn’t listen, was rude from the start and ordered us off the property! Even if we weren’t moving I wouldn’t go again if that’s how little regard they have for their customers...

I visited Sunday, July 10 at 10 am. I also visited on Sunday morning of Memorial Day weekend. I was disappointed by the lack of vendors on the field on both days. I'd say fewer than 20% of the tables had merchandise on them and most of the cabins were closed. It wasn't worth the 35 minute drive to spend less than an hour to see all the vendors. I spoke to a long time vendor today who said that Sundays this year have been bad. So if you are looking for a field full of tables to browse, I'd skip Sunday and go on Saturday or Wednesday. I still found good deals on both days - just wish the field was nearly full like...

If I could give a negative review I would!! NEVER AGAIN!! Don't believe the reviews!! They advertised no reservations needed plenty of space. I got there early to get 3 good tables. The owner put me in middle of their swamp!! People could not get near my tables because there was 2 inches of water in front of ALL THREE OF THEM! I mentioned this to the owner when she came to collect the money she said it would dry up. IT DIDN'T it remained wet the whole day. DO NOT TRUST...
