I'd been looking for a new purse and wallet to replace a quilted cotton set from a certain trendy manufacturer who shall remain nameless. Leather holds up extremely well, and I was delighted to find a company like Buffalo Billfold that uses bison leather. Little did I know that my dad would surprise me with a Dakota Buffalo Leather Purse and Wallet set! The company had to swap out the paired wallet with the envelope clutch wallet, since they were out of the American Chestnut color, but I've come to love this wallet just as well.

Both the purse and wallet have been exceptional. I really like the details like the buffalo nickels and tassels. The detachable keyring and snap inside the purse make for a great feature - no more digging for my house keys! I work with someone who relies on a leather product (not made by Buffalo Leather Company) for her daily living. The glue was coming apart on the leather and I was looking for a leathersmith to stitch it. I made a random call to the Buffalo Billfold Company to see if they could help. Liz took my call, listened to my request, and commented, "I think we can help". After a visit to the store and showing exactly what we needed, they stated they could do what I wanted and it would be done the same day. I picked them up the next day and it was better than I could have hoped for. The customer service was wonderful and they shipped right away. The leather and stitching is very good quality. I can see this product lasting many many years. My only wish, and this is just my individual design preference; I wish the zippers (on the two tone black and brown leather) were a little more inconspicuous (the zipper is gold and very robust which makes it really stand out). Also I'd love it if you made a slightly smaller purse in a softer black leather (just ever so slightly bigger than a credit card and folded bills) with three zippers (one main (for a few credit cards) and two on either side (one for a few folded bills/coins and the other for lipstick)) with an inconspicuous black zipper. This smaller size is perfect for fitting in a pocket or very small clutch when carrying less is desired. Thanks for your great products...
