Sue's Food Market — Local services in Wrightsville

Missed my turn and saw this deli, score I can grab a good sandwich supporting a local business and not a chain off the highway. Welp, I was disappointed. The young man behind the counter is a low talker, after asking him to repeat himself a 3rd time I stated I am hard of hearing and he continued to talk low AND place his head into the cooler ever time he spoke. I said "you need to talk in my direction not with your head down" still no effort to increase his tone above a monotone. As I was not a local I was not familiar with the options, I ordered a turkey cheese with mayo, lettuce, onion. I got ONE packet of mayo and lettuce and tomato tossed in a bag (like a bagged lunch you give your kid for a school trip). NO ONION. WHO makes the customer finish making their sandwich when they order it at the deli?! The good, store was clean and organized. Prices for deli section looked fair to me, LOTS Of fun cheese options (If I lived local I would go back for those cheeses.) Lunch...

Sue's Market has some really good meat. Her meat counter, featuring a LOT of local meats, is worth your while, and your money. Their butchers know meat, and Sue, the owner, is always there, making sure their products are top notch.

I know Sue, and have had her custom order me hams, ribs, loins. I buy her meats. Now, my insider tip: Her ground beef is the absolute best. You are able to see the meat prep area when you there. When they grind hamburger, they put chunks of beef into the grinder, and double grind the meat. NO ADDED WATER, NO CHUNKS OF FAT, NO FILLERS. The ground beef almost looks unreal - a bright red color. It's because it's real meat. No BS. Thanks, Sue. ...

I had a gathering at my new home this past weekend and tried Sue's Market for my slider platter and Dip and veggie platter. Not only were the sandwiches wonderful, but she didn't have slider rolls and gave me regular sized sandwiches on potato rolls and charged me for slider rolls and gave me 8 extra. The meats and salads were so fresh and one of the guests even guessed where they came from based on the taste of the chicken and ham salad!!!!
