Up Mount Baldy via Baldy Bowl Trail on February 6, 2026. Celebrating my birthday with a summit.

Beautiful views from below the bowl and on top of the Baldy mountain ‘San Antonio’ peak. Water stream in the middle. Steep in the second half to the peak. Safer to go w friends instead of solo. Took me about 5h to reach the top and 2.5h to come back to the parking lot, w hiking poles. Warning: a solo hiking accident happened in the snowy January 2023 with sad loss of life of the British actor Julian Sands.

We love going on this hike. The best time to go is when it snows. I think you get to see it in its true form when it snows. I highly recommend this place to go and get some fresh air and if you’re lucky you might see some deer walking around. Make sure you bring plenty of water because even you’re walking in the snow you were for sure get thirsty, tired And hot.

Such a beautiful trail. First hike ever during winter. Lots of snow. Went during snowfall. Cold. White fluffy snow. Visibility became less and less as the day progressed. Couldn’t make it to the peak with confidence. Safer to hike during clear sky. Make sure you have proper gear for the weather. I love all the hikes on Mount Baldy. Stopped by San...
