This is one of my favorite trails, seriously it's a right of passage. Mt. Baldy sits at 10,064 feet of elevation and it is not your everyday hike. This hike is about 10 miles round trip. From the parking lot to the skihut it takes me about 1 hour and 30 minutes. This route is shorter but steeper than taking Devils backbone trail. There is more forest but after the hut there is no shade. Round trip for me is around 8 hours. When I reach the top I always have lunch and take pics which takes about an hour.
