Overpriced Pumpkins. Rude Staff. (Well, the man driving the tractor was nice.)

Coastal Landscaping was recommended to me by my father, a local residing in Cape Neddick, as a spot I could pick out some pumpkins with my 9-year-old son. A quick Google search informed me that they were open until 12:00 “AM” (As an out-of-towner, I thought, how progressive to be open until midnight. Turns out, they mistakenly published AM instead of PM on their Google listing.) Anyway, as I pulled into the lot, and “angry” 60-something female worker came outside, and screamed out, “Just so you know, we close at noon!” OK, I still had 10 minutes, phew. My son and I grabbed two pumpkins as fast as we could (about 23.7 seconds), and headed inside to pay, only to be met by the hostile female with arms folded across her chest and glaring at us as if we ruined her day. After we shelled out just over $30 for our two medium sized pumpkins, we exited the property…still slightly before noon and feeling like we were the bad guys for choosing a local landscaping spot instead of the local grocery store (which, by the way, has similar sized pumpkins 2 for $10).

I’m sure not every person associated with this establishment tries to scare away customers, but if you’re looking for a quaint autumn pumpkin buying experience,...

A customer of mine had ordered some plants from this business and wanted me to go and pick them up and plant them at their home. I went in the office and gave my customer's name and address and what they were looking for and the owner which was a very unpleasant woman got extremely belligerent and rude. It was the most unprofessional experience I had ever had . She was honestly so rude that I thought I was in the Twilight Zone. I would personally not shop here...

Got help as needed, but the cashier charged me $11 more than what I had bought. Charged me for 9 plants when I had gotten 7. When I called him on it, he was nonchalant about returning the money. This was after I saw him return $2 to the previous customer because he had overcharged her. IF I ever go back, I am bringing a calculator with me....
